Happy Thursday everyone! The June kit Aquarelle has a lot of floral prints in it, however, there are also a lot of graphics and some beautiful shades of teal and aqua that lend themselves well to pages that aren’t too “flowery”.
I had this photo of my kids dressed up for a special day at their school called Red Carpet Day, and I thought that I would bring in a bunch of stars to go along with the theme.
I began by adding some gesso to my background and used some red, pink, coral, and sea foam mists using the packaging technique. Then I used one of the cut files from the store and created a “stencil” to spray gold mist through.
Then I fussy cut out some hand drawn stars from some of the patterned papers. I also used the fabric star that comes in the kit and sprayed it with gold mist, too. I went around the edge of the star with gold thread. The rose gold stars from the alpha sheet were the perfect touch of sparkle, too!
Finally, I just added some layers behind my photo, a few bits from the cut apart sheets, and the acrylic stars that come in the kit as well.

For my layout, I used one of this month’s exclusives. The Floral Crown cut file.
Before showing my layout, I want to share how I “weed” through cut files especially intricate ones like the Floral Crown cut file.
I use a spatula like the one in the image to lift each cut carefully. I find this very helpful especially when I use a new mat (it’s super sticky compared to mats that have been used several times already).
I love how my layout turned out with the cut file and fussy cut flowers and butterflies. The watercolor effect in the Wild at Heart collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio is just beautiful!
I lined up the series of photos in the middle and I used scraps of thin cardboard to add a bit of height to them. I also added some messy threads under the photos.
This rubber charm is just so pretty!

Hey everyone! I am on a gift packaging roll with this month’s Aquarelle kit and today’s post is all about gift tags!
I put together 3 very different tags made with multiple colors and textures for the ultimate eye candy.
I am semi obsessed with the little stitched clothing tags that came in the kit. They add so much interest to the design!!! I also have fun adhering items to my tags using just a small staple. This gives the piece the ability to move around and flow on its own a bit.
It’s Donna here for my first project this month using the June 2017 kit, “Aquarelle”.
Today, I’m gonna be sharing a spread in my A5 planner. I use this planner mostly for DT/CT stuff and a little bit of memory keeping. I like to use the small cards to write my daughter’s daily shenanigans.
I usually keep everything pretty simple so I have plenty of space for writing down stuff. I like that this month’s printables has a mini-calendar as well as cute flowers and circle elements.
I used the vellum paper in the kit to decorate the bottom part of the pages like I usually do with washi tape. I fussy cut the butterflies from one of the papers and lined them up as seen in the image.
Here is an after-the-pen photo… after I ruined it with my handwriting… ha!
The Hello weekend tag is a last minute addition. This is also included in this month’s printables.

Nathalie here with some new entries on my personal journal -my TN- inspired by the beautiful Aquarelle kits (main and TN). This month’s TN kit features the beautiful “Wildflower” collection from Kaisercraft, as well as plenty of embellishments, and exclusive printables that make memory keeping so easy and pleasurable.
Since the weather is finally changing here in Toronto, I am taking advantage of long doggie walks around the Humber River path behind my house. The papers in the Aquarelle TN kit were perfect to document the beauty of Spring in the city. Here is a small video on how this page came together:
It took less than 10 minutes to put this page together. I picked one of the papers in the kit, and used both sides to cover both pages of the TN ( each page features a side of the paper).
I picked my 3 favorite pictures of the walk, and printed them in a film strip form using Lightroom. This was then glued to one of the pages of the TN -i chose the one with a less busy pattern on it-. Pieces from the Aquarelle TN Kit’s die cuts and exclusives were used to decorate the page
The exclusive printables in this month’s Aquarelle TN kit are perfect to add small details around the page. In this particular case, one of the cards houses all the details of my walk around the river path. Here is the final spread:
The color combination of the papers in the Aquarelle TN Kit was perfect to document all this Spring memories, and it took less than 10 minutes to complete the spread. It is that easy to work with this kit.
If you are a subscriber to both Main and TN kits, then this month’s pizza box is going to be a dream for all memory keepers. Since you can easily incorporate bits and pieces from both kits in your projects. Here is an example of how I combined pieces of both kits to complete the spread of our favorite Mother’s Day portrait, just sit down, and enjoy the video:
We love this picture, and i wanted it to be prominent on my memory keeping system, so I chose to enlarge the image to fit the entire TN spread. First i cut the picture in half so that i can easily glue to the TN.
Before gluing the right side of the picture, a small pocket was created behind the picture, so that it can hold a tag (from the Aquarelle main kit exclusive printables) with all the journal lines about this memory.
To complete embellishing this page, one of the fabric tags, included in the Aquarelle main kit, along with a die cut from the TN kit were glued to the top corner of the left side of the page. The arrow clip was then used to hold these pieces together, and a small asterisk from the main kit Alphas complete this cluster.
Finally one of the labels from the Aquarelle TN kit’s exclusive printables was used to add the date and place of the picture. The copper Pinkfresh Studio alphas was then used to create the title of this page. Here is the complete spread:
This is by far one of my favorite spreads of the past 2 weeks in my spread. The texture from the different embellishments from both Aquarelle kits just adds the perfect touches to the picture. If you haven’t checked the kits, there are still a few available at the Clique store, and you better rush to pick yours.

Hope you all are getting lots of inspiration from all the beautiful projects created with the beautiful Aquarelle Kit. This month’s kit is gorgeous, and it features the beautiful “Wild at Heart” collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. You want to get your hands on this kit!
I was drawn to all the watercolor floral designs from the collection, and knew that i would be fussy cutting a large number of them for one of my projects. For this layout, I chose to document one of the many pictures of our Mother’s Day weekend by creating a large shaker element, and framing it with flowers and exclusive printables from this month’s Aquarelle main kit. So sit down, and enjoy the video on how this layout came together:
I chose a large picture with lots of negative space for this layout. First I created a shaker element, by stitching together a circle of light pink/coral cardstock, a same size vellum circle, and the outline of the circle (made of white cardstock) together. Before closing the shaker element, a bit of the Sorbet Kit sequin mix was added to the inside of the pocket, especially the large flowers in the sequin mix.
The Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s “Artisan” paper serves as the base for this layout. A little bit of white acrylic paint behind the shaker element helps bring out the colors in the sequin and the flowers that frame the picture.
To frame the picture, and the shaker element, floral designs were cut from the “Patchwork”, “Luscious”, “Memento” papers (all included in the main Aquarelle Kit), and then glued behind the pocket circle and the large picture.
I took advantage of the many exclusive printables included in the Aquarelle kit, as well as the “Fussy Cuts” page to add small clusters around the picture.
The Pinkfresh Studio Alphas included in the Aquarelle kit are so easy to incorporate to all types of projects. Since there is a large white space in the picture, the title was glued straight on the picture right at the larger floral cluster. A small fussy cut butterfly from the “Mariposa” paper completes the title. After adding the journal lines, a few gold ink splatters complete this project. Here is the final layout:
Don’t you just love all the colorful florals in this month’s Aquarelle kit? Oh, I am in love with this kit ( and I think, tears were shed when I fussy cut the papers, they are just too beautiful!!). Hello scrappers. I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this layout with you. When I started creating this layout, I had no idea what I was going to do. The one thing I was sure of, is that I wanted to use lots of patterned paper. The papers in this months’ kit are so pretty. Wouldn’t you agree. It’s hard not to use them all. LOL I even cut the branding strips from the papers and used them as a fun border for my layout on the left-side of the layout.
I’ve had an acrylic frame in my stash for some time now and after watching Finnabair share the new Metallique Paints, I was inspired to use some of the Metallique paints from my stash. I painted the frame using the Deep Waters and Blue-Gold paints. SOOOOO Pretty! I love how vibrant these paints are.
I fussy cut the flowers from the floral paper and added buttons and jewels from my stash to the center of the flowers to add more texture to the flowers. I used foam squares to adhere them to the layout.

I saw these cute little butterflies, which were a subscriber exclusive, and I thought they would match well with the June kit, Aquarelle. This kit features Cocoa Vanilla Studio “Wild at Heart” collection, which also has quite a few butterflies.
I started by adding some mixed media to my background and using a stencil to spray some ink through a starburst pattern. Then I outlined the starburst in yellow thread.
I cut the butterflies from white cardstock and then fussy cut a whole bunch of smaller butterflies from the patterned papers in the kit. I decided not to back the die cut butterflies with paper so that the background could stand out more.
I layered a few labels for my journaling with a large heart and piece of exclusive flair.
I love that these products matched my photo and story so perfectly! Hope you are enjoying the June it and be sure to check out the cut files in the store!
