Locker Room with Evi // Happy Home

Hello Scrappy Peeps! And a Happy 4th of July!! Its Evi here for Locker Room Tuesday.  For todays post I am playing with the wonderful May kit which is still available for your scrapping pleasure in the Clique Kit store.  This kit featured the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection with these soft pastel color range.  I wanted to challenge myself to use a tool I rarely grab for, my punches.

I had parts of this kit left since I did use most of it last month.  I have circle punches in a variety of sizes in my stash, so I punched out 2″ , 1.5″ and 1″ circles and rings with all the patterned paper I had left over.

I used my Scotch Tachy glue to adhere all these circles in a diagonal arrangement for my layout.

I used the puffy stickers and alphas in the kit for my title and a few more bits around the photo of my family to finish off the layout.  Thank you for joining me and if you did not get this kit they are still available in the shop.

I have a process video below to watch this layout unfold.

Geek Lab: Punch it out!

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  I hope you all had a chance to check out the June Instagram Share that started yesterday!  We have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful projects that you are sharing with your kits!  We do still have a couple kits left in the shop along with some of our new Travelers Notebook kits!  You can check them out HERE in the shop!

Today I am working with the May 2017 kit and have a quick and easy layout to share with you!  I am a little behind in using up my kits so before I dig into June I want to kill my May kit!

I also pulled out my May travelers notebook kit that goes perfectly with the main kit!

I am loving circles on layouts so I pulled out my punches and went to work punching our the pretty papers in the May kit!

In the end I only used one size punch and placed them on a 8.5×11 piece of white cardstock!  I love the blue in this kit and since I do have 4 boys it is just perfect for some of their photos!  I printed my photo in black and white and added a few layers behind it!  The photo is of our youngest son combing his brothers hair with a DINGLEHOPPER(fork)!  He had recently just watched The Little Mermaid and was doing everyone’s hair with his new dinglehopper!  To cute not to photograph and document!

Once I had all my circles placed on my paper I added my photo and a square that I cut out from one of the papers that says…Just Being me is Fun!  I pulled out the word stickers in the Travelers Notebook kit and added a couple under my photo.  The puffy stickers in the May kit are perfect little embellishments and I added some to the circles on my page!  I just love all the little bits and pieces in each kit!

Using punches is a good way to use up smaller pieces of paper you have left over in a kit!  Makes for a quick, easy and fun layout!  Here is a look at my final layout using the May 2017 kit!

I challenge you to pull out your punches and create a layout or a card!  Any kind of punch it does not have to be circles!  Post your projects in The Clique Facebook group , our Facebook Page or the Clique Kits Instagram with the hashtag #CKPUNCHITOUT  (a clique kit is not required to join in on the fun)  I think our punches get over looked sometimes and they are a great tool to use!

The Clique Kits May 2017 kit is available in the shop now and you can grab the May Travelers Notebook as well!

Art Studio: Happy Moments

Hello scrappers. I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this layout with you.  When I started creating this layout, I had no idea what I was going to do. The one thing I was sure of, is that I wanted to use lots of patterned paper. The papers in this months’ kit are so pretty. Wouldn’t you agree. It’s hard not to use them all. LOL I even cut the branding strips from the papers and used them as a fun border for my layout on the left-side of the layout.

I’ve had an acrylic frame in my stash for some time now and after watching Finnabair share the new Metallique Paints, I was inspired to use some of the Metallique paints from my stash. I painted the frame using the Deep Waters and Blue-Gold paints. SOOOOO Pretty! I love how vibrant these paints are.

I fussy cut the flowers from the floral paper and added buttons and jewels from my stash to the center of the flowers to add more texture to the flowers. I used foam squares to adhere them to the layout.

Here is a closer look at the branding strips used on this layout.

I fussy cut the butterfly from one of the patterned papers to use as a die cut for the bottom right-side of my layout.

Thank you for visiting today!

Locker Room – Delightful Magnolia Tree

blog-image_locker-room1

Hello! Here is Réka and today I’m sharing with you how I use the cut file as the stitching pattern. For this 8.5 X 11” layout I’ve chosen one illustration from the May Kit excusive cut files which designed by Maryám. I really love these cute houses and these fit my photo perfectly.

ck-may17-cuts-web_2_orig

Firstly I’ve printed the house background, then punched the paper and finally sewed it with white thread.

2

My first thought was to stitch the whole paper but in the end I’ve decided to embroider only around and some places where I knew that the photo did not cover the paper. With this I’ve saved a little time. Two hearts were stitched with pink thread because pink is one of the main color of my layout beside blue and grey.

After I’ve finished the sewing I’ve splashed a little with pink paint.

3

Decorating was coming! The photo has been glued to the cardstock with 3D glue. I ’ve added two strips on the top and on the botton part of my layout. The pink one was painted with watercolor and the other one was cut from the Pinkfresh Studio Fancy paper. I’ve sewed them with my sewing machine on the paper. After I ’ve made two clusters for the photo’s left and right corner which I’ve used the beautiful embellishments from May Main Kit. When I saw the Delightful label in the kit I knew I would use it for my Magnolia Tree’s photo. On my page I’ve also used the cute bird because we wake up to bird-songl. The Magnolia Tree and data labels were edited in the Microsotf word and then printed. Let’s see the page.

Here are some close-ups.

The stitching is a very good solution when you haven’t got the cutting machinee but you really like using the cut files on your page. Beside the stitching is always so interesting because you will see the result only you finished it.

Hopefully, I managed to inspire you to stitching on your page. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!

See you next time. Réka

Geek Lab: Happy

Hi everyone. Hope you’ve had a wonderful week. Today, I have a fun layout to share with you using the beautiful Jellybean kit. I love patterned paper and die cuts. I can’t seem to get enough of them these days. I used several scraps of patterned paper for this layout. The stripe paper and heart stickers came from my stash because I needed another piece of patterned paper to help mat my photo.

I played with several stickers and die cuts. I love the fun border I created at the bottom of the layout. Totally fun and super easy to do! I used foam squares to make a few of the die cuts pop off the page.

Thanks for visiting today!

Yearbook: by Evi

Hello Clique Kit friends.  It is Evi with today’s Yearbook; Project Life layout.  I am using the gorgeous May 2017 kit featuring the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection.  I am scrapping all my fun photos for this past weekends National Scrapbook Day Expo held in Orlando FL.  I was able to attend with my scrappy friend Katty Miranda.

We were able to meet the lovely Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, and she was able to autograph a PL card I received from her workshop.  I also tucked behind my ticket from her workshop behind the PL card.  I matted the photo on Fancy, a patterned paper from the collection.

I used the same side for the card I made in the second row and used a piece from the die cut pack.  I used the puffy stickers on the outside of the page protector.

I also met the very creative Wendy Vecchi, from Ranger.  I cut our picture out in a circle to fit in the center of this coupon card I received that has scrapbook supplies all around the 4×6 card. It worked perfectly.  She signed that tag sticking out the top while playing with Distress Oxides.

The kit also included a water resistant cut apart from Kaiser Crafts. I used the one saying Thank you for being a friend, and used my new purchase of Distress Oxide inks and created the lovely wash of color on the card.

It was an amazing day at the Expo.  It is my third year going to it and I will continue to enjoy if for years to come.  Hope you enjoyed my Project Life Layout.

Locker Room- Cards

Blog Image_Locker Room

Hello friends!  Candace back with you to play a little today making a few cards and tags using the May main scrapbooking kit & travelers notebook kit.  I love to get both kits every month because they coordinate perfectly and it gives me so much product to play and create with.  You can pick up the scrapbooking kit, travelers notebook kit and extras in the shop.

-kit-1_1_orig

I wanted to create bold cards mixed with the light greens and pinks in the Pinkfresh Studio collection.

ckMayCards-1.jpg

For the base of the tag I used black cardstock from my stash layered with a white doily.  For my sentiment I paired the “Happy” puffy sticker with a stamp from my collection.  My final embellishments to the tag were a little die cut leaf and an adorable button.  Now I have a ready made tag to add to a gift in a pinch!

ckMayCards-2

For this simple card I layered patterned paper from the 6×6 paper pad along with a die cut sentiment, a word strip and button.  I like the simplicity of this card, a simple thank you card is always nice to send.

ckMayCards-3

I love this card with the large drop shadow sentiment.  To create this I die cut the large sentiment out of pattered paper from the kit and black card stock.  I layered all the card stock pieces together but slightly off set the black to create a shadow. To create a little more interest I layered the sentiment over card stock and doily.  For my final touch on this card I added a little thread and the adorable flair.  (I LOVE this flair!)

ckMayCards-4

The last card I created is a tiny birthday card.  The only thing better than a homemade card is a cute, tiny homemade card!  I created this simple card by layering white card stock on a back base.  Next I simply adhered 3 of the cute puffy stickers and added a sentiment strip.  Too cute, right?!

ckMayCards-5

It is always great to have sweet and simple cards and tags on hand for any occasion.  I hope this gave you a few ideas on how to quickly put a few together with this months kit.

Have a beautiful day!

Candace

Geek Lab: Favorite

Happy Sunday friends! I’ve been playing with the gorgeous May Kit. I love Pinkfresh Studio’s products. Their designs are so fresh and fun and I just love them. If I could, I’d decorate my walls in my scrapbook room with their pretty papers, but since that is not possible, I will share a layout where I mixed three different patterned papers together. I LOVE the little houses and plants on this paper. SOOOO cute.

I tried to keep the layout pretty simple, adding a few special touches here and there. I used the “favorite” die cut as my title at the bottom of the layout to help frame the photo. Then I added the flower pot die cut and the puffy star sticker to make the die cut more interesting and to add more texture to my layout to avoid a flat appearance.

I hand cut the paper to create a fun border for the top and bottom of my layout to help frame the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Locker Room:

Hi friends,

Melissa with you here again and I’ve got another card to share with you, today, using the beautiful May Sorbet Kit! Today, I want to help you think “outside of the box” a bit. When I saw this sheet of lovely paper, from Pinkfresh Studio, in the kit – I knew I wanted to utilize it on a card. I could go the typical route and cut out a square, or two, to layer and create a sentiment. However, the more I thought about, the more I wanted to see how much I could pack on a card. A standard A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) sized card.

So, I busted out the scissors and got snipping! And snipping! And snipping!

“This is very therapeutic”, I thought! And, I the design was beginning to take shape in my brain. I got pretty excited to showcase how to use all the little bits in your kit and to make it go farther!
Dare2Dream5

After I got it all snippy snipped, I arranged the pieces, just so, on my card base. That was fun too. Almost like a puzzle but, more fun. At least to me. I’m not a huge fan of puzzles. 😉

Dare2Dream6

Then, the next step came. How can I dress this card up more and keep using up all the awesome items in this kit??? We have those awesome buttons and all the gorgeous ephemera. Oh… this could get fun! So, I stuck and I layered and put.

Here is the final product:

Dare2Dream1

Yeah??? How fun is that?

I managed to include just about every color and imagery from this collection. Which, I was really happy about because I really love all the designs with this paper collection. It’s so pretty and light with a nice mod twist to it.

Here are a few close ups to show the layers and dimension:

So fun! This kit is SO fun! And I just know you are going to create and create and create with it. Don’t have one yet? Well, allow me to send you to the right place to get your own May Sorbet Kit! <—just click on that link.

And, I do hope that you enjoyed my post today! Happy creating!
