What inspired you to design the Wish You Were Here collection?

I wanted to do a travel collection, that include a lot of bright colors and different travel icons. And my biggest inspiration came from the super-cute llama that’s a part of the collection!

Favorite movie – The King & I

Favorite color- Yellow

Favorite book- Anne of Green Gables

Favorite food- Fish/Shrimp Tacos

What are your trend predictions for 2018? Do you think we will still see pineapples and flamingos?

It’s always hard to predict what will show up in the paper crafting world, but I think it would be fun to see some collections that reflect the farmhouse look that is so popular in home decor right now. And I wouldn’t mind, if the pineapples and flamingos stick around, because let’s face it, they are always fun to use!

Geek Lab – Free Cut File Fun

Hello Clique Fans!  Erica here with you today to share a layout using some of the July Travelers Notebook kit and a free cut file we offered back in May!  This kit features the Ain’t Life Grand collection from Pretty Little Studio designed by Ashley Horton.  I also printed out the exclusive Travelers Notebook printables sheet that comes free for subscribers!

This cut file was designed by Maryam Perez for our May Challenge and I just love it!  You can grab it for free HERE.  You can also check out our Facebook group The Clique for even more free cut files!  I started out by picking a few papers from the kit and cutting them down to back the cutfile.

I used my Tombow Aqua adhesive to add the cut up papers to my cutfile!  I did not back all of the open spots because I wanted to leave some white spaces!  I love how it turned out!

The photo I am using is of my two youngest boys swimming in their pool!  They love to be in the water and always have so much fun!

Once I backed my photo with a couple layers I added it to my layout and began embellishing my layout!  I used products from the kit and also so Ain’t Life Grand products that I picked up in the Pretty Little Studio shop!  Clique Kits loves to support women in business and small business and PLS is one of our favorites!  Here is a look at my completed layout using the July Travelers Notebook Kit!

Field Notes – Snapchat Fun

Hey everyone!  Erica here with you today to bring you another spread in my June Travelers Notebook!  Today I am using up some of my March 2017 Clique Kit that featured the Shimelle Little by Little collection!  You can grab this kit in the shop HERE!  Remember you can use the code SHOP to get 30% off your total purchase!

I started out by trimming one of the papers in the kit!  It has tiny black hearts all over and I just love it to pieces!

I only ended up using one piece of paper and leaving the left side white and adding a boarder strip from the 6×12 sticker sheet.

The sticker sheet is no longer available in the shop but you can pick up these super cute enamel shapes and we also have the Shimelle wood buttons that are perfect for all projects!

The two photos I am using both have Snapchat filters on them and my youngest boy just loves to play around with these filters!  He loves the ones that have voice changers!

I added a just a couple layers behind my photos and then glued them down to my notebook and began some simple embellishing!  I just love how quick and easy it is to document using the Travelers Notebook!  Plus it is a good way to use up left over pieces from your kits!

I used a couple stickers from this Shimelle sticker book to add to my spread!  I love these little sticker books!  They are such a great value!  So many fun stickers and 2 alpha sticker sheets!

For the left side I decided to add my jounaling using my WRMK Typeset Typewriter!  I typed it out on some vellum instead of white paper!  I saw Audrey do this in on of our process videos and I really love how it looks on vellum!  You can check out her video HERE!

Once I had my journaling typed out I cut them into strips and ran them through my Xyron sticker maker!  One of my favorite things on my desk!  I added them to my notebook on the left hand side of my spread and added a typewriter sticker from the sticker book!

Here is a look at my completed spread using the March 2017 Clique Kit!  I love how simple and sweet it turned out!

Field Notes – Summer Fun

Hello Clique Fans!  Erica here with you today to share a spread in my Travelers Notebook!  I just love this way of documenting and I am seeing it pop up more and more!  Did you know that Clique Kits now has a Travelers Notebook kit that compliments our Main Kit so nice!  You can read more on subscribing HERE!

Today I will be using a past Travelers Notebook kit that featured Crate Paper Oasis collection!  Perfect for summer documenting!

Now this kit is sold out but we do have bits and pieces of this kit and collection in the Clique Kits shop!  The products I used that you can pick up are the exclusive journal cards, ephemera and the Maggie Holmes sticker sheet!

I am also am using one of the CK exclusive TN inserts from the July kit!  You can grab one HERE in the shop!

I started out by adding a few pieces of pattern paper to my spread!  Each TN kit comes with beautiful pattern papers!  The photos I am using our from our day trip to the lake to swim!  It was so hot out and the water felt so good!  The kids had a blast and it was the first time they used their Pegasus float!  The float is massive but they had a lot of fun on it!

I added one of the exclusive journal cards to the right side of my spread and used my WRMK Typeset Typewriter to add some photo details!  I also added one of the label stickers from the Maggie Holmes sticker sheet and one of the Oasis puffy stickers!  You can grab these super cute puffies in the CK shop HERE!

The left side I added a couple more photos and added some journaling strips I made using the WRMK Typewriter!  I love using this to add my journaling!

I also added an ephemera piece from the exclusive ephemera pack, a puffy sticker from the Oasis collection and kept the layers behind my photo simple!  Using the Travelers Notebooks is a quick and easy way to document your memories!  I find I have less products and using more of them which makes me and my desk very happy!  Here is a look at my completed spread!

Geek Lab: Punch it out!

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  I hope you all had a chance to check out the June Instagram Share that started yesterday!  We have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful projects that you are sharing with your kits!  We do still have a couple kits left in the shop along with some of our new Travelers Notebook kits!  You can check them out HERE in the shop!

Today I am working with the May 2017 kit and have a quick and easy layout to share with you!  I am a little behind in using up my kits so before I dig into June I want to kill my May kit!

I also pulled out my May travelers notebook kit that goes perfectly with the main kit!

I am loving circles on layouts so I pulled out my punches and went to work punching our the pretty papers in the May kit!

In the end I only used one size punch and placed them on a 8.5×11 piece of white cardstock!  I love the blue in this kit and since I do have 4 boys it is just perfect for some of their photos!  I printed my photo in black and white and added a few layers behind it!  The photo is of our youngest son combing his brothers hair with a DINGLEHOPPER(fork)!  He had recently just watched The Little Mermaid and was doing everyone’s hair with his new dinglehopper!  To cute not to photograph and document!

Once I had all my circles placed on my paper I added my photo and a square that I cut out from one of the papers that says…Just Being me is Fun!  I pulled out the word stickers in the Travelers Notebook kit and added a couple under my photo.  The puffy stickers in the May kit are perfect little embellishments and I added some to the circles on my page!  I just love all the little bits and pieces in each kit!

Using punches is a good way to use up smaller pieces of paper you have left over in a kit!  Makes for a quick, easy and fun layout!  Here is a look at my final layout using the May 2017 kit!

I challenge you to pull out your punches and create a layout or a card!  Any kind of punch it does not have to be circles!  Post your projects in The Clique Facebook group , our Facebook Page or the Clique Kits Instagram with the hashtag #CKPUNCHITOUT  (a clique kit is not required to join in on the fun)  I think our punches get over looked sometimes and they are a great tool to use!

June Kick Off!

Hello Everyone and happy June 1st!  We are so excited for this month and our 2 June kits!  If you did not already know we have added a new monthly subscription with our travelers notebooks!  We have only a few spots left so if you are interested you can check it out HERE!
