Hi everyone. I’ve been waiting since May to scrapbook these adorable alpacas. The Sundance kit was perfect for these photos. I love the patterns in this collection and decided to use a variety of patterns for the background of my layout. I love patterned paper…

One of my favorite types of die cuts is frames. I love creating a collage of photos to print them on a smaller scale to use on my layout. This tip works perfectly for printing small photos just small enough to fit within the frames.

I layered the frames side by side then used a few die cuts, acrylic and stickers to decorate the frames.

Since I ran out of space to actually hand-journal on this layout, I used the sticker words to help share my story!

Thanks for visiting today!

Yearbook: Adventure

Hi ladies. I am back today with another fun layout I created using the September Sundance kit. The patterns and die cuts in this month’s kit is so pretty. I love them. I’ve had these photos for a few months now, but didn’t have the right papers and embellishments to go with them. I pulled the blue and cream colors from the photos to create a well balanced layout.

I wasn’t sure at first if the washi would go with this layout, but I managed making it work by adding the tiny red plaid star sticker to help pull the red into the layout. I used a pen and ruler to create faux stitching on the heart sticker.

I layered several die cuts together at the bottom of the photo to help pull the photos together. And to balance it out, I added a few more at the top right photo in the corner. Then I added my hand-journaling to complete the layout.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Hello friends! I have a fun mixed media layout to share with you today using some watercolor paints from Shimmerz Paints and stamps from Altenew. And of course, all of the other gorgeous papers and embellishments used are from the September Sundance kit. LOVE this kit. It’s so pretty and it’s perfect for scrapbooking those special outdoors events.

I used a some watercolor paints in the colors of beige, blue and green to draw different paint stroke lines down the page and across the page to create a fun background for my layout. While I was trying to figure out how to incorporate the tiny circle stickers on my layout, I found a button in my stash that was the perfect size for the sticker!

DSC_9000

I cut some flowers from the patterned paper to use as a die cut on my layout. I needed some flowers and that blue flower in the patterned is gorgeous!

DSC_9002

I splashed some gold paint onto the layout too. I love how much a touch of gold makes this layout pop. Such a fun, happy layout.

The tiny word stickers fit within the sticker banners perfectly! I always like using sticker banners with some kind of sentiment so I made these stickers work for me!

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope I’ve inspired you to try using watercolors and stamps on your layout. Don’t forget, the Clique Kits shop has a variety of mixed media products available. Click here to see what’s available.

Clique Agenda – September Spread

clique-agenda

Hello everyone! Enza here to share a planner spread with you today. The colors in the Sundance Kit are perfect to embellish September pages and give you a feel of the upcoming fall season.

CK_Sep17_MainKit-28

The first thing I usually do when I plan my week is write down appointments, activity schedules, and to-do lists. This is a crazy month for us, so the best way to get everything done and get a sense of how busy our week is going to be is to have it all in front of my eyes.

egudor_CliqueAgenda_September7_Main

Once that is done, I start adhering die cuts and sticker sentiments to fill out the empty spots. I used several pieces from the Creekside collection ephemera pack and exclusive printables that coordinate perfectly with the rest of the colors in the kit.

egudor_CliqueAgenda_September7_CloseUp1

I am a sucker for inspiring and encouraging phrases and sentiments, and you can find a few of them across the spread, along with floral pieces in beautiful fall colors.

That is all for today, friends! I hope you enjoyed looking at my planner pages and will feel inspired to use bits and pieces from this month kit to decorate your own spreads. Visit the Clique store for other fun items that are perfect to personalize your planner.

Until next time,

Enza

Designer in the Spotlight-Ashley Horton

Hello Clique Fans!  Erica here with you today to bring you our Designer in the Spotlight!  Our September Travelers Notebook kit features the Wish You Were Here collection designed by the super talented Ashley Horton!

We are so excited to have Ashley as our Designer in the Spotlight!  You can find Ashley’s collections at Pretty Little Studio and also her fabulous cut files and digital products at The Cut Shoppe!  You can check out Ashley’s blog HERE for a ton of inspiration!

We want to thank Ashley for taking the time out of her busy day to share a little bit about herself with us!  So grab your drink of choice, curl up in your favorite place and say HELLO to the fabulous Ashley Horton!

What are 3 of your must have tools?

Silhouette Cameo, sewing machine and tape runner

Who are some of your favorite designers?

Paige Evans, Flora Farkas and Zsoka Marko

What inspired you to design the Wish You Were Here collection?

I wanted to do a travel collection, that include a lot of bright colors and different travel icons. And my biggest inspiration came from the super-cute llama that’s a part of the collection!

Favorite movie – The King & I

Favorite color- Yellow

Favorite book- Anne of Green Gables

Favorite food- Fish/Shrimp Tacos

What are your trend predictions for 2018? Do you think we will still see pineapples and flamingos?

It’s always hard to predict what will show up in the paper crafting world, but I think it would be fun to see some collections that reflect the farmhouse look that is so popular in home decor right now. And I wouldn’t mind, if the pineapples and flamingos stick around, because let’s face it, they are always fun to use!

Thanks for connecting with our readers Ashley!  Shrimp tacos are some of my favorite too! Yum!!  Ashley has also created a fun cut file to share with our readers and a couple spreads in her Travelers Notebook using her Wish You Were Here collection!   This file is perfect to use in your travelers notebook or scrapbook layouts and you can download it HERE for free!

Love that llama die cut and how the cut file is the perfect size for the travelers notebook!!  We would love to see how you use this free cut file so make sure to tag Clique Kits and The Cut Shoppe in your projects!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Make sure to follow the Clique Kits blog and Ashley Horton for more inspiration using the September Sundance Travelers Notebook kit and the Wish You Were Here collection!  Enjoy the rest of your day!

Yearbook: Summer Fun

Hi! It’s Donna here sharing another layout using the August “Malibu” kit, exclusive cut files and printables.

20121311_10209396396442132_5681943947058556093_o

I always get stumped when it comes to scrapbooking multiple photos in a layout. How do I make it work without making it too crowded? How can I make the design interesting?

Then an idea occurred to me while staring at this.

DSC_7371

Create a folding mini-album! It’s not a unique idea and has been used several times but it’s fun so why not do it once in a while.

I used a piece of 12×12 cardstock and folded 4 times. The width and height depend on the sizes of your photos. I adhered in place the last fold/panel.

I used foam tapes to create a space so I can insert another photo underneath.

Donna-CKMalibu-lAYOUT046

Fun and interesting way to add multiple photos in a single spread.

Donna-CKMalibu-lAYOUT047

I also made this tassel so the mini-album will stay folded.

That’s all from me today! I hope you like my project as much as I do! ❤

Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting,
