June Clique Kits Pep Rally

pr-image

Welcome! Please join us today for the June Instagram share. We hope to inspired you with a variety of projects using the June Aquarelle kit. Here’s how this works; it’s very simple.

Subscribers are eligible to earn free product credits for participating in the Pep Rally via Instagram. Participation is a very relaxed commitment on a month by month basis. Simply email marketing@cliquekits.com by the 15th of the month to have your credits recorded. Subscribers may earn 5 credits (1 credit=$1) for each month they participate. If you end up not participating- we lash you with wet noodles. (Kidding.) We simply skip over your points that month. Credits are cumulative as long as you are still a subscriber! Sound good so far?

What do you do once you sign up? This is really straightforward too. We hope this step by step instruction covers what you do, who is eligible to win a prize, and what the prizes are.

Step 1: Take pictures of projects you created using the monthly kit (please use a minimum of 80% kit and add on products so that the inspiration provided for the Clique is kit-focused.) You can do this anytime during the month- but be sure your photos post before 10 am CST on Pep Rally Day.

Step 2: On or before Pep Rally day, join the event on Facebook and Instagram by sharing on Facebook with your friends and tagging them on Instagram letting them know that each name tagged is entered to win a gift certificate to spend in the CK shop!

Step 3: Use the Instagram search tool with the keywords specified in the Hashtags and enjoy the eye candy! Leave some love for all your friends!

Step 4: Tune in to Clique Kits for announcements of the monthly Pep Rally participant winner selected to win an additional $10 product credit to spend in the Clique Kits store!

And without further ado, here are the hashtags. The first 3 are the same every month. The last two will obviously change each month.

Locker Room: Use Those Scraps

CK- Locker Room - header

Hi friends,

Melissa here with you today with my last cards created using the beautiful June Aquarelle kit. This is a Locker Room post which, for me, dreams up half time. You know, it’s the Super Bowl and the teams are playing their game. Maybe one team just needs that extra pep talk to keep the energy flowing. That talk may contain some new inspiration that keeps the game fresh. So, that’s what we’re doing today. June is drawing to a close and the July kit is ready for you BUT, I know you still have some scraps and leftover embellies to use. So, let’s have a pep talk and I’ll give you some fresh ideas for how to use them all up on a card.

I am also sharing a process video with all the juicy details. Here are the two cards I’m sharing in the video…

Clique Agenda – My week

Hello, everyone! Enza here and today I’m sharing a planner spread using the gorgeous June Aquarelle kit.
ck-jun17-mainkit-6_1_orig
I love the exclusive printables every month, and the ones included in the June kits are no exception. Fun and colorful, I had to use them in my spread.
egudor_June26_CliqueAgenda
One of the things I always do when it comes to digital items is print multiple copies of my favorites in different sizes. Photoshop is a fantastic tools for this, but I find the Silhouette Studio software much easier to use. I just drag (or copy/paste) the images into a new workspace, duplicate them and modify the size as I like before printing. Easy peasy.
I started by placing the flowers across my spread and creating clusters here and there. I also printed the days of the week strip that comes as a printable with the Traveler’s Notebook kit. I love the font!

Next, the butterflies, which were fussy cut out of a 3×4 exclusive card included in the main kit.

The triangles I added on the sides of both pages give the perfect touch of color. They are also from a 3×4 exclusive card. I adore this cute little tag!

Field Notes-Dad & Son

CK- Field Notes -traveler notes - header

Hello again!  So happy to be back again sharing a little travelers notebook inspiration.  This is quickly becoming one of my very favorite ways to document the everyday moments.  For today’s spread I used goodies from the new travelers notebook kit & embellishments from the main kit.

ck-jun17-mainkit-6_1_orig.jpg

On father’s day I captured a little photo of my husband teaching one of my sons how to tie his tie for church.  This was such a sweet and delicate moment and I wanted my spread to reflect this feel.

ckdad&son1

I placed my photo on the left side of the spread layered over the beautiful marble paper from the TN kit.  Under the photo I added sentiment word strips that captured my feelings about this special moment.  At the bottom of the spread I added the date on top of a floral label.

ckdad&son2

On the right side of the spread I used stamps from my stash to spell out my title “Dad & Son”. I adore the floral ampersand from the ephemera pack and had to make sure it made its way on to a project this month!

ckdad&son3

To tie the two sides of the spread together I repeated the mint color and the floral embellishments.

ckdad&son4

Another moment captured and documented in my TN!  Thanks again for stopping by today!  We would LOVE to see what memories you are documenting in with our new TN kits.  Make sure you tag Clique Kits when you share your projects so we can swoon over them!

Have a beautiful day!

Study Hall: Let’s Get Dazzled!

Hello friends!

Melissa here with you today and I’m sharing a card using the June Aquarelle Kit. For this card, I wanted to highlight the awesome Shimmerz Dazzlers you can get as an add-on from the shop. This stuff is so much fun! It’s, essentially, modeling paste that already has the color and lovely sheen to it.

I googled some ideas on how to use it. I loved what I found and definitely wanted to translate it to the smaller scale of a card. Here is the full photo:

SunshineSoul1

I just love how the Dazzlers give this card a little “oomph” for the background.

What I did was super simple – I used a mask that I had in my stash and smoothed the dazzlers over it with a palette knife. I was careful to not leave it took think but still have enough dimension. I also love the messy look in which it seems as if I scraped off some of the Dazzlers off.

SunshineSoul2

It didn’t take long to dry so, I was able to complete this card rather quickly. At least, quickly when I think of how long modeling paste can normally take to dry!

While it was drying, I begin to layer the top part of my card. I used bits and pieces from the patterned paper, the vellum and die cuts. I even broke out the sewing machine and added a little bit of stitching.

SunshineSoul3

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I hope you enjoyed this card today. And, I hope you get a chance to go dig around in the shop for add-ons. While June is winding down, I know many of you are just now digging in to those June kits. Don’t forget to use up the scraps to make a few fun cards, too!

I’ll be back next week with another card and the fabulous Dazzlers!!!

Art Studio: Favorite

Hello  everybody! I am sharing my very first layout using the July Clique Kit. I love the pretty papers and embellishments in this kit. And I really like the Pretty Little Studio paper, flair and transparency. Fun kit! The colors make me so happy.

I tried to keep this layout simple by adding some yellow and blue Shimmerz mists in the background. I added a 1/4″ border around the edge of the white cardstock using a ruler and a black pen. And because I couldn’t get enough of the pretty transparency, I cut the “always” image out using scissors and added a puffy sticker on top of the transparency and adhered it to the bottom of the layout.

I cut the flowers from the Pretty Little Studio cut-apart paper and used a foam square to make the middle of the flower pop off the page. The leaves are actually Altenew stamps!

I used the transparency to cover one of the die cut tags above the photos. And I tucked strips of paper “branding strips” slightly behind the photos.

We hope you love this month’s kit as much as we do! Thanks for visiting today.

Field Notes-Enjoy the Little Things

CK- Field Notes -traveler notes - header

Hello friends!  Candace here with you today to share a quick travelers notebook spread.  I love documenting little everyday moments in my notebook.  Today’s moment captured and documented was my little guy going to preschool. To document this I used the new traveler’s notebook kit along with a few papers and embellishments from the main kit.

ck-jun17-mainkit-6_1_orig.jpg

To start the spread I punched three, 3 inch circles out of various patterned papers in the kit. I chose papers that were light in feel and theme to match my photo.

cklittlethings1cklittlethings2

For my photo stack I layered papers & embellishments from the kit.  I wanted the left side of the spread to feel very organic, like the papers and embellishments just fell on the paper.

cklittlethings3

For the right side I wanted a more organized feel.  I continued the circle theme with my embellishments, over lapping a few of the circles.  I added a large “R” from my stash to represent my son’s initial.

cklittlethings4

To tie the right and left sides of the spread together I repeated the acrylic white stars across the spread.

cklittlethings5

Such a cute and meaningful layout!  I love how it came together and the moment captured and now documented.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Give mixing styles a try on your next travelers notebook spread.  Try mixing an organic and organized style all on one spread!  Have fun!

Geek Lab: Favorite

Hello friends! Maryám here to share a new project using the digital exclusives files of this month. If you are a subscriber you can find them here, or if you are not a subscriber you can them here.

As you can see on the right side of the spread I put my photo, the title and some embelllishments, but on the left side of the spread I decided to create a kind of a pattern paper using the flowers printables of this month.

Here is a quick tutorial of how I did the pattern paper:

1.You have to open a new file on photoshop with the size of your travelers notebook’s page.

2. Now, you have to go to “file” and then click on “place”, in that way you will can add the png elements that were included on the printables folder.3. Once you have the flowers right on the file, you are going to duplicate the layers over and over again. In that way you will create your own pattern.

4. If your pattern it’s done, save it, and send it to print!

Here are some close-ups and some extra details:

The camera is from a chipboard sheet from the beautiful Oasis collection, and the leaves are rubber shapes from Pinkfresh Studio.

I hope you liked my pages and if you have any questions, please put them in the comments below.

Have a wonderful day!

Clique Agenda: June 2017 Monthly Spread

Hello, CK friends!

Donna here sharing my last post for this month of June using the Aquarelle kit.

ck-jun17-mainkit-6_1_orig

as well as some of the exclusive printables in the kit

ck-jun17-cliqueprints-web3_3_orig

First, let me show you one of the tricks I learned along the way. I’m sure I am did not come up with this original idea but I will share it anyway. I use a template as you see in the image, to cut the tiny little squares in my monthly spread.

It’s not really perfect but the difference is not that noticeable, so it’ll do. First, I measured one of the squares and used this tag (it’s quite sturdy so it can be used over and over again) as a template.

DONNAESPIRITU-AQUARELLE-PLANNER02

Use a pencil (so you can erase afterward) and trace around the area you want to cut. I keep this template nearby so it’s ready when I need it.

DONNAESPIRITU-AQUARELLE-PLANNER02a

Here is how I decorated my monthly spread for June using the kit. (Note: stamp used from my stash and not included in the kit).

I just love those butterflies!!! DONNAESPIRITU-AQUARELLE-PLANNER02cDONNAESPIRITU-AQUARELLE-PLANNER02d

I hope you liked my project today!

Thanks for dropping by!

Happy crafting,
