Geek Lab: Beautiful You

Happy Friday friends! I am excited to share my first layout using the June kit! I love Cocoa Vanilla’s Wild at Heart collection and I hope you love this month’s kit as munch as I do. As soon as I saw the butterflies, I was in love. Seriously, I can’t get enough of them. They are a personal favorite of mine and they never seem to get old.

I used this month’s digital cut file to help embellish my layout. Initially, I was going to keep it white, then opted to use some Shimmerz Paint to color it green. If you’re looking for other cut files besides florals, check out Clique Kit’s Digital Shop!

For those of you who follow my work, I love layering embellishments and papers together on my layout. I layered some of the pieces from the digital cut file with the Cocoa Vanilla die cuts. I had some enamel dots from my stash that I used to decorate the center of the flowers.

What do you think of this month’s flair? Naturally, I love it because it’s blue; my favorite color. I couldn’t decide where I wanted to place the flair so I decided to cluster the flowers and flair along with the butterfly.

Here are a few other close up photos.

Thanks for visiting today and don’t forget to check out our Digital Shop!

Yearbook | Be Who You Are

blog-image_yearbook

Hey friends! Stephanie Gold here with you today for a Travelers Notebook layout that’s all about you!!

IMG_4155-imp

So how often do you scrap about yourself?? My answer is never, unless I’m directly instructed to haha. I recently turned 30 and in my effort to combat any aging self-consciousness I decided to create a layout all about myself (in a positive way) using a photo I really liked. That last part can be hard but just find one you feel really beautiful in or one that has such a wonderful memory it gives you the warm fuzzies every time you see it. 🙂

IMG_4156-imp

The title of my post came from the quote,

Be who you are, not who the world wants you to be.

Have you seen the GORGEOUS alpha stickers in the new June kit?!!! I. Am. All. Over. Them. They are seriously the best. {Be sure to check out the kit info here!!}

I decided to chop up one of the journal cards which had positive affirmation words and phrases – and use the ones I resonated with to use as my journaling.

IMG_4160-imp

I kept the whole page simple and I love reflecting on it when I get myself into a funk. Being 30 is awesome and a blessing and I need to remember that!! 🙂 Also, don’t forget to check out the latest kit from Clique Kits, the official Travelers Notebook kit!!

Thanks for stopping by with me!! Much love everyone!

Xo, Stephanie

Locker Room – Delightful Magnolia Tree

blog-image_locker-room1

Hello! Here is Réka and today I’m sharing with you how I use the cut file as the stitching pattern. For this 8.5 X 11” layout I’ve chosen one illustration from the May Kit excusive cut files which designed by Maryám. I really love these cute houses and these fit my photo perfectly.

ck-may17-cuts-web_2_orig

Firstly I’ve printed the house background, then punched the paper and finally sewed it with white thread.

2

My first thought was to stitch the whole paper but in the end I’ve decided to embroider only around and some places where I knew that the photo did not cover the paper. With this I’ve saved a little time. Two hearts were stitched with pink thread because pink is one of the main color of my layout beside blue and grey.

After I’ve finished the sewing I’ve splashed a little with pink paint.

3

Decorating was coming! The photo has been glued to the cardstock with 3D glue. I ’ve added two strips on the top and on the botton part of my layout. The pink one was painted with watercolor and the other one was cut from the Pinkfresh Studio Fancy paper. I’ve sewed them with my sewing machine on the paper. After I ’ve made two clusters for the photo’s left and right corner which I’ve used the beautiful embellishments from May Main Kit. When I saw the Delightful label in the kit I knew I would use it for my Magnolia Tree’s photo. On my page I’ve also used the cute bird because we wake up to bird-songl. The Magnolia Tree and data labels were edited in the Microsotf word and then printed. Let’s see the page.

Here are some close-ups.

The stitching is a very good solution when you haven’t got the cutting machinee but you really like using the cut files on your page. Beside the stitching is always so interesting because you will see the result only you finished it.

Hopefully, I managed to inspire you to stitching on your page. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!

See you next time. Réka

Mood Board: June 2017

Happy Sunday everyone! This year is just scooting on by. Can you believe we are sharing the June Mood Board and kit already? For me, June is the start of summer, lake season and warm weather. Living in a northern climate where it is cold majority of the year, I bask in the 3 months that we really “celebrate” summer. I love the sunshine during the day and the birds chirping, I love the evening when you can celebrate with friends on an outdoor patio or bon fire in the back yard or at the lake. I love weekends hanging out with friends and family, going on boat rides, playing yard games and grilling. What are your favorite parts of a warm climate?

We have titled the June Kit: Aquarelle. This kit reminds me of a garden party, floral crowns, and evenings under the stars. What is your favorite part of this mood board?

Of course I can’t leave without sharing some SNEAK PEEKS of both our Main Kit and our Travelers Notebook Kit.

Main Kit Sneak Peeks

Now how about a few sneak peeks of our Travelers Notebook Kit?

There you have it. Keep your eyes on our social media for more sneak peeks!! Like last month I will be doing a LIVE Facebook video sharing the kit contents on Wednesday, May 17, June Reveal Day. This month you will not only see the June Main Kit, but I’ll also be sharing the June Travelers Notebook Kit!! Check out our Facebook Page for details on when we will go live (if you miss the live airing, you can always check out the video on our page.)

Also, don’t forget to check out our May Pep Rally on Instagram, Wednesday, May 17.

Hello, everyone. Enza here to share a fun layout featuring the awesome May Sorbet kit.
-kit-1_1_orig
Paper punches are a great tool when it comes to give your pages a more unique look. I love using them, but rarely do anymore, as my die-cutting machine does all the work for me 😉 It felt like a nice change to take out my big box of punches and think of different ways to use them.
egudor_May13_GeekLab
For my layout today, I picked three circular punches in different sizes (one of them has scalloped edges), and cut out several circles from a variety of patterned papers.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp5
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp6

I then folded them in half, but didn’t glue them together. The idea was to create dimensional petals.  I used the colorful buttons in the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection for the inside of the flowers and tucked all the folded circles underneath them.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp1
The smaller picture fit perfectly in between the flowers. A few layers of patterned papers and ephemera pieces were used to give the photo a more finished look.

egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp2

For my title, I used the “Favorite” die cut included in the May Sorbet Kit. Simple and easy, but still bold enough to create some contrast with the rest of the colors.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp3
I finished the layout with a couple of fun and colorful strips of washi tape at the bottom of the page and puffy stickers scattered all over the page.

Thank you for stopping by. Don’t forget to visit the Clique store for all your crafty needs. We also have a few challenges going on in the Clique Facebook group. You have until May 31st to play along for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store.
Have a lovely day!

see on the layout, it’s my daughter. I was browsing the photos on my cellphone and
I found this one. I laughed when I saw it, what a cutie pie.

Of course, I used the Sorbet May Kit!!ck-may17-kit-1_1_orig

And here is my layout :
I used the kaisercraft paper and watercolor them. Then, I cut them a little bit to
have them smaller and use it as quotes for my layout.

Geek Lab: Happy

Hi everyone. Hope you’ve had a wonderful week. Today, I have a fun layout to share with you using the beautiful Jellybean kit. I love patterned paper and die cuts. I can’t seem to get enough of them these days. I used several scraps of patterned paper for this layout. The stripe paper and heart stickers came from my stash because I needed another piece of patterned paper to help mat my photo.

I played with several stickers and die cuts. I love the fun border I created at the bottom of the layout. Totally fun and super easy to do! I used foam squares to make a few of the die cuts pop off the page.

Thanks for visiting today!

Yearbook: by Evi

Hello Clique Kit friends.  It is Evi with today’s Yearbook; Project Life layout.  I am using the gorgeous May 2017 kit featuring the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection.  I am scrapping all my fun photos for this past weekends National Scrapbook Day Expo held in Orlando FL.  I was able to attend with my scrappy friend Katty Miranda.

We were able to meet the lovely Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, and she was able to autograph a PL card I received from her workshop.  I also tucked behind my ticket from her workshop behind the PL card.  I matted the photo on Fancy, a patterned paper from the collection.

I used the same side for the card I made in the second row and used a piece from the die cut pack.  I used the puffy stickers on the outside of the page protector.

I also met the very creative Wendy Vecchi, from Ranger.  I cut our picture out in a circle to fit in the center of this coupon card I received that has scrapbook supplies all around the 4×6 card. It worked perfectly.  She signed that tag sticking out the top while playing with Distress Oxides.

The kit also included a water resistant cut apart from Kaiser Crafts. I used the one saying Thank you for being a friend, and used my new purchase of Distress Oxide inks and created the lovely wash of color on the card.

It was an amazing day at the Expo.  It is my third year going to it and I will continue to enjoy if for years to come.  Hope you enjoyed my Project Life Layout.
