Field Notes: First Day

Hello, friends! I am here to share with you my last project as a design team member for Clique Kits. I have had a blast this past year. I have loved being on the Design Team and working with such amazing people. Thank you everyone for giving me this opportunity.

My traveler’s notebook spread today is all about my son’s first day of school. I can’t stop saying how much I love the colors in the September Sundance kit!

egudor_September2017_TN

I wanted to use lots of different patterns and colors, so I decided to use a star craft die to obtain multiple shapes in different sizes. I then placed them in a diagonal across the two pages, making sure to overlap them and create some texture and dimension.

egudor_September2017_TN_CloseUp2

The Freckled Fawn Puffy Alpha Stickers are the perfect addition to any project. I love their size and how they complement the design without being overwhelming.

egudor_September2017_TN_CloseUp1

I finished the spread with some sentiments from the 1Canoe2 sticker sheets and Fancy Pants Designs Puffy stickers.

Hello, Clique friends. Today I’m bringing a new layout created with the gorgeous September Sundance kit.

CK_Sep17_MainKit-24

My goal for this page was to include multiple pictures. Although I tend to make one-photo layouts, sometimes I feel like that is not enough to document a story or capture the little details. Here you can see my oldest daughter playing the ukulele. I love how focused and passionate she gets every time she plays. Nothing can distract her! Those three pictures needed to go together on one page 🙂 I reduced their size to measure about six inches in length all together. It was like working with one 4×6” photo.

egudor_September15_Yearbook

I started by fussy cutting several flowers from one of the 1Canoe2 patterned papers that came in the kit. I was planning on having a white background and wanted to include pops of color and dimension by adding those cut outs here and there. To bring in more interest, I decided to use a cut file from my stash to cover a little more than half of the page. I love the tone-on-tone look. It is subtle but definitely noticeable.

egudor_September15_Yearbook_CloseUp3

I adhered the three pictures together on layers of card stock and popped them up with some foam. The leaves and additional flowers you see on the right-hand side were fussy cut from another paper in the kit. I like how the pink brings in an extra element of color. It also created the perfect spot for the acrylic words and heart. Enamel dots finished the layout.

I hope this has inspired you to get creative with your kit and include multiple photos on your pages. This kit is absolutely lovely and very versatile. Get yours before it’s gone!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

Clique Agenda – September Spread

clique-agenda

Hello everyone! Enza here to share a planner spread with you today. The colors in the Sundance Kit are perfect to embellish September pages and give you a feel of the upcoming fall season.

CK_Sep17_MainKit-28

The first thing I usually do when I plan my week is write down appointments, activity schedules, and to-do lists. This is a crazy month for us, so the best way to get everything done and get a sense of how busy our week is going to be is to have it all in front of my eyes.

egudor_CliqueAgenda_September7_Main

Once that is done, I start adhering die cuts and sticker sentiments to fill out the empty spots. I used several pieces from the Creekside collection ephemera pack and exclusive printables that coordinate perfectly with the rest of the colors in the kit.

egudor_CliqueAgenda_September7_CloseUp1

egudor_CliqueAgenda_September7_CloseUp2

I am a sucker for inspiring and encouraging phrases and sentiments, and you can find a few of them across the spread, along with floral pieces in beautiful fall colors.

That is all for today, friends! I hope you enjoyed looking at my planner pages and will feel inspired to use bits and pieces from this month kit to decorate your own spreads. Visit the Clique store for other fun items that are perfect to personalize your planner.

Field Notes: A first look at my September TN

ck-field-notes-traveler-notes-header

Hello Clique fans! It’s Enza, and today I’m here to share a couple of spreads in my Travelers Notebook featuring the gorgeous Sundance Main Kit.
CK_Sep17_MainKit-24
Fall season is upon us and this kit is perfect to document it. Since the month has just started, the first thing I want to share is how I embellished the opening pages of my insert.
egudor_September3_FieldNotes
The patterned paper on the left-hand side is part of my cover. I made my own inserts a while ago and this just happened to match the colors in the kit perfectly. I used one of the exclusive Fall words cut files for the month, which I cut out of white card stock and tinted with a mini ink blending tool and Distress Inks from my stash.
ck-sep17-kitcuts-web2_origI placed it vertically along the left side of the page and added the word “memories” from the Freckled Fawn Puffy Alpha Stickers below it. I kept the embellishments to a minimum, just a few 1Canoe2 ephemera pieces and enamel dots.
egudor_September3_FieldNotes_CloseUp5
For the right side, I mainly used the exclusive printables that come with the kit this month. They are so gorgeous! Love them all!
egudor_September3_FieldNotes_CloseUp3
egudor_September3_FieldNotes_CloseUp4
I also created my first spread for this month.
egudor_September3_FieldNotes2
I used some of the Fancy Pants Dream Big patterned papers to cover both pages and adhered two strips of a different color along the spine to create some separation. The cut file peeking out of the photo is one of the older Clique Cuts that can be found in the digital store.
egudor_September3_FieldNotes_CloseUp1
A few stickers, die cuts and the Fancy Pants Puffy Sticker sentiment finished one side of the spread, while my journaling, which I typed and cut into strips, completed the other side.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you felt inspired to use the Sundance Kit for your September memories.
Have a lovely day!

Locker Room – Mini Album

CK- Locker Room - header
Hello everyone! Enza here with a mini album to share with you today using the beautiful July Pool Party Travelers Notebook kit.

ck-jun17-tnkit2_4_orig

egudor_July17_LockerRoom_Full
The idea for my mini was to have a 2017 album with only one picture per month. I do this a lot. I use the same concept for my TN. I think it’s fun to look at random pictures and get a feel of how our life is/was during that given year. You will also notice there is no journaling. The reason for it is that I usually include the full stories in our Project Life albums. Sometimes I just want to look at pictures and pretty papers 🙂
egudor_July17_LockerRoom_Cover
The 4×6 cards from the Ain’t Life Grand collection included in the kit are just the right size. I started by cutting a few tag shapes from different patterned papers and adhered them back to back. I love how thick the papers are. There is no need to add extra cardstock in between the layers to make your pages stronger, which saves time and money 😉 Once all my pages were ready, I embellished them with a variety of elements. A mix of ephemera pieces, exclusive cut files and printables from the Clique store, and some stitching added that layered, unique look I love.

Here is the front:

egudor_July17_LockerRoom_Front

Here is the back:
egudor_July17_LockerRoom_Back
The alpha stickers I used were included in the June Aquarelle kit. The copper color coordinates perfectly with the Pool Party TN kit.
egudor_July17_LockerRoom_CloseUp6
Some of the cut files were modified to fit the tag shape. Same idea was used for a couple of pictures, as well as the 3×4 cards that come in the kit. I just adhered them back to back, cut the top corners, and punched a hole to fit the other tags.

Field Notes – Punches and Mixed Media

CK- Field Notes -traveler notes - headerHello, Clique fans! Enza here today to share a new Traveler’s Notebook spread. Look at all the fabulous goodies in the July Pool Party Travelers Notebook kit!

ck-jun17-tnkit2_4_orig

I went back to my good ol’ punches again. This is a floral border one from Martha Stewart that I have had in my stash for quite a while. The idea was to create a colorful background using different patterned paper from the Ain’t Life Grand collection featured in the kit.

egudor_July2nd_FieldNotes

egudor_July2nd_FieldNotes_CloseUp1

On the opposite side of the page, I used a mixed media paper from Kaisercraft that came in the May Sorbet kit. After cutting it to fit, I simply colored it with a mini ink blending tool and shades of ink that matched the colors in the papers. One of the sentiments from the collection served as my title, which was placed in the center of the page and backed with some thread for added texture.

egudor_July2nd_FieldNotes_CloseUp5

I layered the photo with a mix of patterned papers. The journaling, as well as some sentiments, were typed and then cut into strips.

Geek Lab – Favorite

13738133_10206587473420812_3012027118225482067_o
Hello, everyone. Enza here to share a fun layout featuring the awesome May Sorbet kit.
-kit-1_1_orig
Paper punches are a great tool when it comes to give your pages a more unique look. I love using them, but rarely do anymore, as my die-cutting machine does all the work for me 😉 It felt like a nice change to take out my big box of punches and think of different ways to use them.
egudor_May13_GeekLab
For my layout today, I picked three circular punches in different sizes (one of them has scalloped edges), and cut out several circles from a variety of patterned papers.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp5
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp6

I then folded them in half, but didn’t glue them together. The idea was to create dimensional petals.  I used the colorful buttons in the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection for the inside of the flowers and tucked all the folded circles underneath them.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp1
The smaller picture fit perfectly in between the flowers. A few layers of patterned papers and ephemera pieces were used to give the photo a more finished look.

egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp2

For my title, I used the “Favorite” die cut included in the May Sorbet Kit. Simple and easy, but still bold enough to create some contrast with the rest of the colors.
egudor_May13_GeekLab_CloseUp3
I finished the layout with a couple of fun and colorful strips of washi tape at the bottom of the page and puffy stickers scattered all over the page.

Yearbook – Out Of This World

13708352_10206587466700644_3123589168410663782_o

Hello, Clique friends! I’m back today with a layout featuring the gorgeous May Sorbet Kit. The colors in this kit are absolutely amazing and the exclusives coordinate beautifully with it.

CK Sorbet Kit

The main inspiration for this layout came from one of the background cut files that will be available in the Clique digital store.ck-may17-storecuts-web3_origI initially intended to use the cut file as it is, but then decided to scatter the different size stars around my pictures and layer them to crate a lot of dimension and texture.

egudor_April20_Yearbook_Out Of This World2

Since the patterned paper I chose as my background is very similar in color to the one I used for the stars, I decided to just use pink acrylic paint to create some contrast. I still wanted my layout to have a soft look, so the light colored paint worked perfectly for it.

egudor_April20_Yearbook_CloseUp3

Some of the stars are cut out of vellum. I love the different texture it adds.

egudor_April20_Yearbook_CloseUp1

Once all the stars were positioned as I liked them around my pictures, I started embellishing. I tend to go for a tone-on-tone look most of the times to make the colors stand out more.

egudor_April20_Yearbook_CloseUp4

For my title, I used another exclusive cut file that will be available with the May Sorbet kit.ck-may17-storecuts-web5_origThe Pink Fresh Studio Reverie paper with its gorgeous blue adds the right pop of color the layout needed.

Clique Agenda – March spread

clique-agenda

Hello, everyone. Enza here with a planner spread featuring the new gorgeous March Play Kit. I love this kit to pieces. It is just beautiful. Such happy colors and fun patterns.

ck-march-kit

I was so inspired by all the goodies in this month’s kit that I decided to make my own dashboard for March.

egudor_february24_planner

I knew I wanted to use the Lil’ Bit Lovely patterned paper. I thought the chevron pattern would be cute to create a little pocket. As my base, I used a piece of white cardstock, which I trimmed to fit my Mini Happy Planner (it measures approximately 4.75” x 7”). I then did the same thing with the patterned paper. Since I wanted to cut the chevron paper in half, I first punched holes in it. That gave me an idea of where to cut.

egudor_february24_planner_closeup1

I used some foam dots to give dimension to the beautiful floral piece included in the ephemera pack, and added one of Dr. Seuss’s quotes that I have always loved as my inspiration for the month. I had a hard time choosing the bits and pieces to go in the pocket. They are all so fun!

This is my monthly spread for March.

egudor_february24_planner_closeup2

egudor_february24_planner_closeup3

I like to keep it simple and usually only jot down a few things. The weekly spreads are much busier.

How lovely are these embellishments included in the kit? Don’t forget you can also download the exclusive printables that coordinate perfectly with the main kit.
