Locker Room with Evi // Happy Home

Hello Scrappy Peeps! And a Happy 4th of July!! Its Evi here for Locker Room Tuesday.  For todays post I am playing with the wonderful May kit which is still available for your scrapping pleasure in the Clique Kit store.  This kit featured the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection with these soft pastel color range.  I wanted to challenge myself to use a tool I rarely grab for, my punches.

I had parts of this kit left since I did use most of it last month.  I have circle punches in a variety of sizes in my stash, so I punched out 2″ , 1.5″ and 1″ circles and rings with all the patterned paper I had left over.

I used my Scotch Tachy glue to adhere all these circles in a diagonal arrangement for my layout.

I used the puffy stickers and alphas in the kit for my title and a few more bits around the photo of my family to finish off the layout.  Thank you for joining me and if you did not get this kit they are still available in the shop.

I have a process video below to watch this layout unfold.

Geek Lab: Punch it out!

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  I hope you all had a chance to check out the June Instagram Share that started yesterday!  We have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful projects that you are sharing with your kits!  We do still have a couple kits left in the shop along with some of our new Travelers Notebook kits!  You can check them out HERE in the shop!

Today I am working with the May 2017 kit and have a quick and easy layout to share with you!  I am a little behind in using up my kits so before I dig into June I want to kill my May kit!

I also pulled out my May travelers notebook kit that goes perfectly with the main kit!

I am loving circles on layouts so I pulled out my punches and went to work punching our the pretty papers in the May kit!

In the end I only used one size punch and placed them on a 8.5×11 piece of white cardstock!  I love the blue in this kit and since I do have 4 boys it is just perfect for some of their photos!  I printed my photo in black and white and added a few layers behind it!  The photo is of our youngest son combing his brothers hair with a DINGLEHOPPER(fork)!  He had recently just watched The Little Mermaid and was doing everyone’s hair with his new dinglehopper!  To cute not to photograph and document!

Once I had all my circles placed on my paper I added my photo and a square that I cut out from one of the papers that says…Just Being me is Fun!  I pulled out the word stickers in the Travelers Notebook kit and added a couple under my photo.  The puffy stickers in the May kit are perfect little embellishments and I added some to the circles on my page!  I just love all the little bits and pieces in each kit!

Using punches is a good way to use up smaller pieces of paper you have left over in a kit!  Makes for a quick, easy and fun layout!  Here is a look at my final layout using the May 2017 kit!

I challenge you to pull out your punches and create a layout or a card!  Any kind of punch it does not have to be circles!  Post your projects in The Clique Facebook group , our Facebook Page or the Clique Kits Instagram with the hashtag #CKPUNCHITOUT  (a clique kit is not required to join in on the fun)  I think our punches get over looked sometimes and they are a great tool to use!

The Clique Kits May 2017 kit is available in the shop now and you can grab the May Travelers Notebook as well!

Hello, everyone. Enza here to share a fun layout featuring the awesome May Sorbet kit.

Paper punches are a great tool when it comes to give your pages a more unique look. I love using them, but rarely do anymore, as my die-cutting machine does all the work for me 😉 It felt like a nice change to take out my big box of punches and think of different ways to use them.

For my layout today, I picked three circular punches in different sizes (one of them has scalloped edges), and cut out several circles from a variety of patterned papers.

I then folded them in half, but didn’t glue them together. The idea was to create dimensional petals.  I used the colorful buttons in the Pink Fresh Studio Dream On collection for the inside of the flowers and tucked all the folded circles underneath them.

The smaller picture fit perfectly in between the flowers. A few layers of patterned papers and ephemera pieces were used to give the photo a more finished look.

For my title, I used the “Favorite” die cut included in the May Sorbet Kit. Simple and easy, but still bold enough to create some contrast with the rest of the colors.

I finished the layout with a couple of fun and colorful strips of washi tape at the bottom of the page and puffy stickers scattered all over the page.
