Student of the Month-Ally Miller

Hello Clique Kits fans!  Erica here with you today and I am excited to introduce you to one of our guest designers Ally Miller aka FiloAlly.  Ally is well known in the planner community and you will find her Instagram filled with eye catching photos of the cutest planner products!  We just had to invite her to be our guest and send her the Agenda 2.0 kit!  She has been sharing posts on her IG with our Agenda 2.0 kit and today she has a fun blog post for you so sit back relax and say HELLO to Ally!

Hey everybody! How exciting is this? I’m so excited and thankful that I get to be a guest designer for the super fun company Clique Kits! I’m here to tell you how I use the agenda 2.0 kit monthly kit in my planner.

First and foremost, I have used the items from the Agenda 2.0 kit in a few of my planners. Everything packed into my kit was so adorable I must say, but some of my favorite items that were included were the Websters Pages full collection papers as well as the glitter washi tape. I use washi tape every week when I decorate my planner pages and I’m obsessed with glitter, so it was perfect for me. I also got really creative with the monthly section that was included in the Websters Pages paper.

I cut the monthly part out of the sheet and thought my stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop would fit perfectly in the squares, and they did! I stamped my work schedule and social media posts that I need to get done for the month of June. Planning in advance always keeps me organized. You could get really creative with this using any stamps, stickers or washi tape you may have. It’s all about what works best for you and what you prefer. When I stamp, I use a clear acrylic block that you can pick up at almost any craft store. I use mememto ink and you can also pick those up at any craft store as well as online. You have to be careful with memento ink because they are dye inks and they can bleed through. I tend not to press to hard to prevent that from happening, however the Websters Pages scrapbooking paper is so thick that I have NEVER had a problem with that! I also think it’s important to take care of your stamps and clean them properly. I use scent free baby wipes from Target and they keep my stamps nice and clean.

I already have a monthly section in my medium gold kikkik planner that I use a lot, so I thought this sheet would fit perfectly in one of my smaller planners. I am currently using my small pocket size planner to keep track of blogging ideas and social media, so this is perfect! When I finished up stamping, I hole punched it with my Rapesco Hole Punch and added a cute piece of sparky washi tape to match. I did have to trim it a little bit to fit and now it fits perfect in my planner.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions please let me know! I’m so excited to be sharing this with all of you and I hope you learned some tips and tricks. Planning with the Agenda 2.0 Kit

11180236_374416282743213_885362550_nHello lovelies! My name is Florence and I am guest designing this month. In the planner world I’m known as livelifeandcreate which is my user name on Instagram. I love paper crafting as well as creating pages in my Midori and planner decor. Some of you may question- why not just use your phone as a planner, why should you go out and buy one? Well we all work different ways and although technology does pretty much run many events, there’s just something about pen to paper that makes the human brain retain the information more. And why not spruce it up with some cute washi tape, stickers, page flags, or even a journal card or two.

I love applying ephemera pieces and various paper crafting paper and products to the way I decorate. I like to say I’m a scrappy hot mess and I like to go with the flow. My lists tend to be quite long on my busy days, and with decorating these pages it makes your to do lists enjoyable. At least for me they do.
A great thing about the Agenda 2.0 kit is that there’s so much variety that can last you a long while. This time I would like to share with you how I would use journaling cards/ scrapbook paper to embellish at the same time using washi and stickers. I will be utilizing the Websters Pages paper that comes in the kit. I am also using my light teal Color Crush Planner (if you were wondering what kind of planner this is).
I know sometimes it can get overwhelming with where to place what, but for me I normally just go with the flow. Sometimes it takes just writing something down, or placing one thing to get you started. I personally embellish my page first then write my items in. And place any additional embellishments if needed.
I hope you got some inspiration on how to kick-start your month of May!  Keep a look out for a YouTube video that I’ll be releasing within the next week or so.  Head on over to the Clique Kits shop and pick up your Agenda 2.0 kit today! Happy Wednesday all!

Geek Lab – Dream to be Different

Blog Image_Geek Lab

Hello Clique-fans, it’s Danielle here with you today! I have another layout made with the super gorgeous April Happy Everything kit to share with you. For this layout I used one of the exclusive cut files that came with this kit, I totally adore these clouds! I cut this one with the words ‘Dream to be different’ out on white cardstock.

Because my background paper already had a pink cloud in it, I wanted my cloud to match that color and used some watercolor on it. If you’re using watercolors, don’t make it too perfect. Not every piece has to be covered evenly, the different tones of color give you the ultimate watercolor effect!

This is how my layout turned out. I took this picture while cycling home from work. It was the first day this year we had some nice Spring weather and a coat was not needed. These moments make me so happy!

Art Studio: Distressing and Hand Sewing

Blog Image_Art Studio

Hello there! It’s Caroli here and today I want to show you this layout I made using distressing and hand sewing.

As you can see, I used a lot of triangles, they are very trendy lately, but I wanted to add a special touch to my triangles, so I use a distresser tool on the edges and also hand-sew around it for a more interesting texture and volume.

Also, I created a sequins pocket with one of the triangles using vellum and some star-shaped sequins inside, love how it looks 🙂

I love the soft and delicate look of all patterned paper from Lemon Owl, they are great for mixing and very modern.

I used a gold doily from my stash and placed it behind my pic, and then used one of the butterflies from the embellishment strips to decorate. I cut the same shape in vellum and placed it under it so as to add more volume.

I hope you like the idea and dare to distress and hand sew some triangles on your layout. Have a nice monday!
