Share your space – Donna

Hello everyone! It’s Donna here again and I am here to share my little creative space with you all.

It’s basically 1/4 of our bedroom. Good thing my husband is a very supportive and encouraging one, so he doesn’t mind when our bedroom turn into a “creative mess” when I’m in “my zone”. 😀

DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-01

This is basically everything I own. I love looking at this while thinking of future projects or while I am stuck in a rut. I like that my own little piece of heaven gives me motivation when I needed it most lol. 😀

DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-02

The shelf, table and wood cabinet/drawer were all salvaged items. Even the boxes where I store flowers, stencils, metal die cuts, trims and ribbons were all recycled. I just couldn’t throw them away especially the big ones. Though one day I would like to replace them with sturdier plastic ones with covers. Saudi Arabia is prone to sand storms and the open storage boxes tend to collect dust, lots of dust.DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-03

One of my newest possession is my teal Raskog!!! Oh my gosh. I just love it. But, as much as I want to put cute stuff like pens, pencils, etc. I couldn’t. My daughter likes to rummage through all the things in there. That is why I kind of blocked it, to prevent her from getting everything lol!  There is another similar storage at the back of the Raskog where I have my latest papers like the ones I got from Clique Kits. Again, blocked from the hands of my little girl haha!

DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-04

I also bought these white plastic canister thingy from IKEA along with the Raskog. All the washi tapes I own are stored in two of those, third one with pens and the last one with photos and other small items. I love me some pens/pencils for sure. And you can also see all the punchers I own. Plus one that is in a box somewhere in the wood cabinet lol.

DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-05

I have a couple of small plastic drawers where I store my inks and other knick-knacks like string pearls, buttons, etc. The clear plastic box is where I store some of my finished layouts, mini-albums and other stuff. Notice the box of dry sheets? I use those sheets for die cutting. It works perfectly for kind-of-difficult-to-cut metal dies.DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-06

Inside the wood cabinet/drawer. Some of my Graphic 45 papers and staples. I had to take this picture really quick because the little diva saw me open them and she thought she can pull them all out, as toys. lol!DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-07

And there is my beloved Silhouette Cameo. I used an old, thin and very smooth Winnie the Pooh blouse as cover. Improvisation. Ha! 😀 I just pull the machine out when I need it.DonnaEspiritu-CreativeSpaceShare-08

There you have it. 🙂

I enjoyed sharing my little creative space with you. Thank you for joining me today.

Have a great day!

Happy crafting,

Share Your Space – Justyna Skowron

Hello! It’s been a while since I am here with Clique Kit Girls and Designers and I think it is the time to finally show you the craftspace from where my inspirations come! 🙂

This is it! Not much, but I really like this place!

DSC_0606

I have some troubles with fitting this all but for the purpose of photos – I managed to do that 😀 normally there’s a bigger mess there.

DSC_0609

Next to embellishements, stickers etc. I keep small stamps and punches.

DSC_0610

On the left side there are the biggest alphas. And a minion 😀 I’m crazy about them! You can spot more of them on the first photo 🙂

On the right side there are paints, flowers, sewing machine which doesn’t work but looks nice, ribbons, washi tapes etc..

DSC_0623

I also have small box with bagdes and small wood veneers.

And this is my favorite one – handmade wooden box  with Project Life cards.

There’s also a place for small cut outs or scraps of papers:

And under the desk there are some pizza boxes, my PL album and boxes made from the pizza ones to keep bigger parts of papers vertically.

Share Your Space-Aliza Deutsch

Hello, and welcome to my little world, my petite scrap space. It feels a little funny sharing my space. Even though I share many stories and photos from my life, I feel like now I am inviting you inside my home. And, I can’t help but notice all its little imperfections in front of the company.

So, here are a few disclaimers. I live in a two bedroom apartment that is large by New York City standards, and small by, well, everywhere else in America. So, no brightly lit craft room for me. I have a nook carved out of our generously sized entrance way, with a desk, drawers, some shelving, and a couple of lamps so I can see.

Okay, here goes.

craft space1

Now, here is what I love about my modest little space.

  1. It’s mine.  In my early crafting years, I had two little kids, and a stack of containers filled with crafting supplies, that steadily kept growing. I would carry everything out to the kitchen table, and then pack everything up when I was done. One day, probably around 2007 or so, I said, “It sure would be nice to be able to leave out an unfinished project.” And my husband said, “I bet if we move things around, we could fit a desk somewhere.” Finding ways to arrange and rearrange things to create more space is actually something I am rather good at. And, so, this little space was born. At the time, I loved it because it meant Dave respected my devotion to this hobby. And I loved it because as a young mother of two, it was the only space that was my own.
  2.  It’s efficient. With a small space, I have to be smart about how things are organized, and I need to thoughtful about what I have. There is no room for hoarding here. I am pretty sure that if I had a larger space, I would have a larger supply of things that I don’t use all that often.

So, here is a little detailed tour of what I do have, and how it is all arranged.

Papers from my current Clique Kits live on a bookcase that is opposite my desk. As you can see, that is also where we have a bicycle and a phone. (With wires!) Anyway, the most recent papers stay in the white box in which they were delivered. bookshelf close up

Once a new Clique Kit arrives (Oh, happy day!), the remaining papers of the previous kit go into the plastic Iris box below it, or in my other stash of patterned paper next to my desk. That is also where I keep cardstock, loads of page protectors, boxes of ribbon, lots of rulers, and my beloved paper trimmer. That paper bag hanging on my desk is for trash.

to the right

Let’s move onto my desk now. The most important part, is the left hand side. In a letter organizer and some little containers, I keep my most recent Clique Kit alphas and embellishments, photos, and lots of scrap paper for jotting down ideas, to do lists, and drafts of  journaling. I usually have a month or two of kits in this space, before things get moved to my stash. As with my patterned papers, after things are moved from here, I no longer worry about keeping kits together. While they are on my desk, those are the things I will work with the most.

desk closeup 1

I love working with one kit at a time.  The products are the latest and the greatest. They all coordinate with each other. But I also love looking through my entire collection, and discovering things both new and old that work well together.

And so, here is a look at some of my shelves and inside some of my drawers, where my stash resides.

On the shelves above my desk are 3 containers. One for my go to tools, one for alphas (and the occasional playbill) , and one for other packaged embellishments-usually stickers. Recent layouts are displayed above, until they make their way into an album. shelves above

Other embellishments like ephemera, enamel dots, flairs, brads, sequins, wood veneers, washi, and more live in in the drawers below or next to my desk.

There are more drawers, with more odds and ends-stamps, hole punchers, ink pads. But these are the items that I use the most. When my little containers get too full, or when things are just getting out of hand, I go through my supplies and do some purging.

One other note: I also use my computer, printer, and Silhouette on a regular basis. And those live on another desk in my bedroom.

Also, my desktop  is almost never as clear as it is in these photos.

Share your space – Leeann Pearce

Well Hello, Today I get to share my creative space with you all. I think you will be pleasantly surprised that it’s actually just a small spot.  But I can inform you that my last crafting room was not. It was huge, I actually had an amazing space back in Western Australia. You see we build our dream home back in 2010 and I build that dream scrap room to go with it. But things happen in life and you change your dreams for another dream! We sold the farm and moved state. This was a big move. So we packed the caravan  and the kids up and headed on out and travel around Australia for  6mths. We had nothing to lose, we had time on our side and places to explore.  Anyway once we reach our new state (Victoria) we looked around for houses. And we found one. Now I didn’t care if there was not a room for me and my paper and glue.  I was happy just to fold out a table somewhere. And so here it is my spot were I create my magic and feel inspire!

I actually love this spot. I share this space with all the kids too.  My plan is to fill the main wall with creative pieces of art. Its a little random and quirky.

“My creative space”

Here’s some canvas art I created… this makes me happy!

And the family computer sits  perfectly on holly’s desk that doesn’t fit in her room.  Iv’e added a few of my crafty supplies and art works. I have a mini fish bowl that is filled with washi tape and all that twine… love! Hmmmm seems the kids love it too! Glass jars are great as I can view them instantly… I  always buy my jars from the op shop for only a few dollars.

space leeann 5

I have lots of my embellishments stored in odd glass bowls and the plastic tackle box’s. I do sort my embellishments so I  know what I have. I love that feeling when I completely clean something out too. I get to refill with an embellishment thats been hiding for some time!

space leeann 10

These are my handmade clay pots.  Made from air drying clay.  I recently painted the insides… I think they are cute!

space leeann 8

I’ve had this muffin tin for like ever… it was rusty years ago. I gave it a light sand and spray painted it black. It’s been the best storage item for like ever.

space leeann 9

I love this trolley it’s from ikea and I know thousands that have them. Yep totally rocks. Anyway I have all sorts of alphas and stickers in the top, scrap card and paper in the middle and punches at the bottom.

space leeann 6

I do have some paper racks which I love and they totally organized my stash of pattern papers. I really need to get stuck into them!

space leeann 7

I have lots of little containers that have bits and bobs in stored all around the house too even the shed!

Space leeann 1

Hope you enjoyed seeing where I create my magic.

Thank you for popping by …  I cant wait to get stuck into my February  Clique kit… it’s here on my table!
