Locker Room: Naples

blog-image_locker-room

Hello everybody! Elisabetta here to show you the first layout I made with the gorgeous August Kit. 🙂

IMG_4973 copia

This picture was taken in Naples, one of the most beautiful italian cities! I went there with my friend Francesca in April. It rained almost all weekend (the picture was taken in one of the rare moments when the sun was shining) but we enjoyed it anyway. 🙂

The thing that I love the most about this layout are those gorgeous flowers that I cut from a paper that’s included in the kit. I absolutely adore every kind of flowered paper and I find it so relaxing to cut the flowers and use them as embellishments on my pages. 🙂

Another great thing about the kit are the Fancy Pants bows!! I adore them 😀 this gold is just perfection, isn’t it?

I can’t wait to see what you’re going to create with this kit, I’m having so much fun with it at the moment!! I’ll see you tomorrow with another post, thank you for looking. 🙂

Hello everyone! 🙂 Elisabetta here to show you another layout made using the May kit!

have you created some layouts for NSD? remember that you still have time to participate to our challenges on the FB event!

IMG_4453

this layout is a  very special one for me!

the picture was taken on my graduation day and as you can see I was shaking hands with all my professors in front of me! it was a very special moment and I am grateful to my friends that took a lot of pictures that day (they know me LOL) 😀

IMG_4454

for the title I used one of the stickers included in the kit. I love the touch of bright yellow 🙂

IMG_4455

this is a design that I like to use often on my pages and it’s also a great way to use up some cards if you don’t do Project Life.

IMG_4456

I really hope that you’ll feel inspired to create some beautiful layouts! have a great day and see you soon 🙂

Yearbook: the end!

blog-image_yearbook

Since yearbook is about documenting and preserving memories, for today’s layout I thought about using a photo that was captured on a very special day that I want to remember forever!

IMG_3670 copiaIt was the day of my last exam at the university. After the exam, I took a picture of the little book where professors write our grades and I sent it to my friends. It’s not a great picture, but I wanted to scrap it anyway so that I will never forget that moment. 🙂

IMG_3673

I love the paper that I used as background. I usually work with white backgrounds, but this is a very pretty and soft paper!

IMG_3672

I didn’t need much journaling, just a few words to remember the date and the subject!

IMG_3674

Those glasses were perfect for a school themed layout! I don’t wear glasses but they just seemed the right choice for this page!!

IMG_3675

I really hope that you will feel inspired to create something beautiful with your kit! have a lovely day scrappy friends. 🙂

Use Your Hands!

geeklab

Hey everyone!! Jody here on the blog today to share my favorite tool with you.  Can you guess what my all time favorite tool is?   The Cricut, Silhouette, Crop-a-Dile, The Cinch…… Nope!  Although I own and totally love all of those, my favorite tool for creating with is my hands!  Yes, when all else fails  I stick to the basics.  I am so in love with this kit and have already seen our Varsity Design Team girls rock this kit and its die cuts.  That being said, I really wanted to get back to the basics today.

The way I used my hands as a tool for this layout is simply by bending the squares of papers which I trimmed down to 4 3/4″ and 4 1/2″ square.  I bent up the edges of the papers to give them more dimension, which created interesting shadows as well.  I love this look, especially when scrapbooking my Instagram photos!  I also love using contrasting papers and foam adhesives, like the navy and pink I used here.  Here’s my layout 🙂

Happy scrappin’ everyone!
