Study Hall: Cut File Fun

Hey everyone it is Erica here on the blog today to share my first layout with the March 2016 kit and add ons!  This month the kit features the Goldie collection designed by Ashley Goldberg and we have a great add on paper pack from Photoplay  Paper!

Every Clique kit comes with exclusives each month and one of my favorite exclusives are the cut files!  You can download the file and use the cut files over and over again!  One file can be used in so many different ways making your kit stretch even farther!

One of my favorite things to do with the background cut files is to back them with all the beautiful papers in my kits!  This month I wanted to highlight the add on paper as well so I also cut into these papers!  Making that first cut into a kit is always so hard for me so starting out with a layout like this always helps me just get it done!  I started by pulling out the papers I wanted to use and then cut out enough circles to back the cutfile using my circle punch!  This was very quick and easy to do and then adhered the circles using my Tombow adhesive from the Clique Kits shop!  The Tombow liquid is my favorite because if you let it set for just a minute before sticking it down it is easy to remove if you do not like the placement!  Also liquid glue allows you to wiggle it around a bit and get it just in the right spot!

I also used some of the glassine bag from the kit to back some of the circles!  Might as well recycle some of that packing on our layouts right!  Once all my circles were placed I added some layers behind my photo and adhered to my layout with my Tombow Dot Runner!  With such a busy background I kept the embellishments light adding a few of the exclusive die cuts, some enamel dots and  I also pulled a foam black Thicker from a previous kit add on for my title!  If you have had your eye on the exclusive die cut pack you can grab them now in shop!

The layout came together so quickly and I love the end result!  Another nice thing is I only used a small amount of paper to create this layout but was able to showcase so many of the beautiful papers!

The March paper add on is the perfect match with this kit!  If you have not yet picked it up in the shop we still have some available for you to add to your March kit boxes!  The photo I am documenting is of Sandra and I at CHA!  All of us Clique girls were getting ready to go in and get our badges and of coarse we all took a ton of photos in front of the CHA sign!  This is one of my favorite pics of Sandra and I so I wanted to document it!  Here is a look at my completed layout!

Happy Holidays from Clique Kits

Happy Holidays everyone!  Erica here with you today to share some holiday projects from some of our designers and guest designers this month!  We had three holiday kits this year and we have been loving all the projects everyone has been sharing!  Our Clique into December kit featured the Christmas Wishes collection by Pinkfresh Studio and here is a look at some of fabulous projects using this kit!  Check out our guests Maria and Alicia’s YouTube channels for more holiday inspiration!!

Our Holiday Card kit was a huge hit and sold out faster than we had imagined!  It featured the Dear Santa collection by Photoplay Paper and included an exclusive stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps! Here is just a few of the beautiful projects created by our team and guest designers!

Last but not least our Limited Editon Hanukkah kit!  This kit features exclusive flair and journal cards designed by Gia Lau and Lacey Gasper!  The kit includes a beautiful stamp set from Lawn Fawn and includes the perfect amount of unique embellishments to document Hanukkah!  This month we had our friend and special guest Charity Feit creating with this kit and you can check out her blog and YouTube channel for more projects coming soon!

Student of the Month-Julia Akinina

Hello everyone!  I am very excited to be bringing you another fabulous Student of the Month!  Julia Akinina is with us today sharing projects she created with the fabulous Holiday Clique Cards kit!   Now this kit is sold out but you can still find some Clique into December kits in the Holiday Shop along with some other great holiday products!  We also have one of the exclusive Honey Bee Stamps Wonderland stamp set listed in the shop and some of the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Studio wood veneers.  And if you love the May Arts Red Chevron Ribbon used in Julies projects you can pick some up in the shop too!   Now say hello to Julia!

My name is Julia, I’m 24 and I’m from Russia. I started to make cards 5 years ago and firstly I created a lot of cards of different stuff that everyone can find at home. I have been doing it for 1 year before I have found that this hobby is called scrapbooking. Now I can’t imagine my life without it. I create an inspirational projects for myself as well as I create cards, albums and wedding invitations for other people by order! I’m happy that my hobby can bring me some money and can become my main work. I was designing for different russian Challenge Blogs and now I am the creative team member in such a great companies as Kaisercraft and BellaBLVD. I like to watch at my progress and I want to develope my skills more and more. I think my style in scrapbooking is bright, clean and light… with a little bit of splashes ( though my first projects at the beginning of my fascination with scrapbooking were in vintage style) Last year I became a big fan of the CAS style in cardmaking. I’am happy to be guest designer of Clique Kits Club!

 

Hello my friends!

I want to share some exciting news with you! This month I am Guest Designer for the

  Clique Kit Club!

It’s a big honor for me!

So I will show you my projects which I have created using the Holiday Kit!

My first project is the holiday album.

I used paper pad and embellishments from the kit to create this album.

 

Here are all the pages of my album. I used kraft cardstok as the base of my album.

I love to use stickers as the embelishements on the pages. I made the cover of my album and bind it all together usent the rings. I made pretty good album which an become a cute present to the Christmas.

 To create my next projects I used the Honey Bee Stamp Set from the Kit.

I loved this stamps there are so many ways to use it. I created the background on my card using the stamps.

 I used the cutest snowman on my second card. I also love the red cardstock from the Holiday kit!

The color is so bright  and the texture is good on it.
