Hello everyone! 🙂 Elisabetta here to show you another layout made using the May kit!

have you created some layouts for NSD? remember that you still have time to participate to our challenges on the FB event!

this layout is a  very special one for me!

the picture was taken on my graduation day and as you can see I was shaking hands with all my professors in front of me! it was a very special moment and I am grateful to my friends that took a lot of pictures that day (they know me LOL) 😀

for the title I used one of the stickers included in the kit. I love the touch of bright yellow 🙂

this is a design that I like to use often on my pages and it’s also a great way to use up some cards if you don’t do Project Life.

I really hope that you’ll feel inspired to create some beautiful layouts! have a great day and see you soon 🙂

Study Hall: At The Beach

Hello everyone! Elisabetta here to show you another layout created with the May kit!

I found an old Polaroid at home back in January and I’m OBSESSED with it! I only took a few pictures so far and I love the vintage look that they have. as I mentioned some posts ago, I spent Easter holidays with my mom at our beach house and, even if it was very very cold, we still decided to take some walks by the seaside. this Polaroid was taken there; I love it! 😀

this 4×6 exclusive card was perfect for my picture (and I adored the quote)!

tags must be one of my favorite pieces from the kit! they are so versatile and the colors are vibrant and bright, I think I used them on every layout 😀

I can’t wait to take some Polaroids, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful Pinterest projects using Polaroids!

thank you so much for stopping by today, I’ll see you very soon! 🙂

Geek Lab: Loco Squad

hello everyone! Elisabetta here today to show you one of my favorite layouts that I’ve created lately 🙂

I love this month’s printables, especially the labels and the circles, so I decided to create a layout that was all about the LABELS! 🙂

I cut them and placed them on the left side of the page with the picture and then I embellished the page using stickers, diecuts, alphas and tag that we got in the kit!

how cute is this aqua flair? 🙂

I love all the bright colors of the kit! they look great with my photo, that was taken back in March, as I was spending Easter holidays with my mom at our beach house. “Loco Squad” is the name of one of our favorite restaurants there, we love how they cook 😀

don’t forget to download your monthly printables and cut files, I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun with them! I really hope that you feel inspired to create beautiful layouts, thank you for stopping by, I’ll see you soon :*

Black and White Photos

Hi, all. Welcome to another Geek Lab post by me, Aliza. Once again, I present to you a layout using the fabulous May Kit, Northern lights. This kit is loaded with colors. It’s loaded with papers. It’s loaded with embellishments. There is a lot to work with.

Speaking of a lot of work, we just finished celebrating the holiday of Passover. Like many holidays out there, it’s a wonderful time to spend with friends,  family, and community. It is filled with stories and traditions. And, like many holidays out there, it is also A LOT of work. This year, I did not manage that extra work all that well. Which just meant I had much to do in  the last 36 hours before Passover began. I captured that and some other aspects of preparing for the holiday in this layout. (Pesach is the Hebrew name for Passover.)

Now, because there was a lot of green in two of my photos, I used that as an opportunity to use that beautiful green paper from the Attwell collection. I love that shade of green and the hand-drawn pattern! Because there were four different photos, and I was highlighting the green hues, I converted two of the pictures into black and white photos to keep the color scheme cohesive.

You can convert photos to black and white in a variety of apps right on your phone, but in this case I did it in Photoshop Elements. It is quite simple.

Open up your photo, and click “enhance.”

From there, scroll down to “covert to black and white.”

You will have a few black and white options to choose from. Just click on the one you like best (You can preview how each one looks first), and voila!

See? Simple.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yearbook: Roma

Hello everyone! Elisabetta here to show you a pocket page I made to document a very special night in Rome: me and my friend Francesca went to a concert back in February where all of the biggest italian artists sang.  It was a big event and we were lucky to have the tickets! We really enjoyed it and we had so much fun!

I took some pictures and even if they are dark I still wanted to include them in a pocket page to document the night! The colors of the May kit are perfect for this page. 🙂

I used the exclusive cards, stickers, alphas, flairs and diecuts! I love the big 4×6 journaling card: journaling is a big part (for me) when I include a pocket page in my album! I had a lot of things to say about this night and that card had just the perfect space. 🙂

I love this little embellishment that I created using a diecut, two stickers and an enamel dot. 😉

I really hope that you enjoyed this post, I’l see you very soon. 🙂

Adding Dimension. A Little at a Time.

Hi, all! It’s Aliza here. I am excited to be here sharing this lovely May kit. So many gorgeous and bright colors in there, and it is just filled with stuff to work with. I also bought the Attwell Sticky Notes, which I have been turning to over and over again to use on my layouts.

Now I tend to be a flat scrapper. By which I mean that my layouts don’t often have tons of dimension to them. It’s one of those things that I admire in others, but when it comes to my own work, I tend not to add very much.

When I got to work on this layout, it was like all my others. As I neared the end, and I searched through the exclusive ephemera pack to add a few embellishments, I was most drawn to the floral pieces that matched up to the exclusive card that I used on the layout. And when I moved the flowers around the layout some more, I liked them right above their matching counterparts. So that is right where I put them. With a little pop dot.

A quick and easy way to add a little dimension for those of you who like just a little.

I can’t wait to share more, and I am excited for all of you to get your hands on this kit!
