Yearbook – Remember This

13708352_10206587466700644_3123589168410663782_o

Hello, Clique friends! Enza here with a new layout created with the gorgeous February Bee You kit. I absolutely love the Hazelwood collection featured in the kit. Colors and patterns are very versatile and fun.

fullsizeoutput_3928

For this layout I wanted to focus on the story, on my girls, on their different personalities and similarities. I wanted my page to be soft, very feminine and sweet. I used the Lazy Daisy patterned paper as my background. The mint green color is delicate and dreamy.

egudor_february17th_yearbook

The whole layout was actually built around the pretty journaling card from the cut apart sheet. It kind of determined the tone of the whole page. I started building my layers with two white doilies disposed in a diagonal. Then, I used different patterned papers to back my pictures and created more dimension by adding foam tape underneath them. The 3×4 card with the purple camera and the Remember This sentiment added the perfect pop of color.

I also fussy cut the beautiful white flowers from the Hazel Gingham patterned paper and disposed them here and there around the pictures. I had to have at least one butterfly on my layout, of course! I am totally in love with them!

A few more stickers and embellishments, as well as two strips of patterned papers along the left side of the page, finished the layout.

I hope you felt inspired today to keep creating with the beautiful Bee You kit. You can find add-ons and exclusive printables in the Clique store.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day!

Yearbook – Moments

yearbook

Hello, Clique friends. Enza back today to share a new layout featuring the gorgeous Hey, Sugar January kit.

I’m excited to show you how I put together my top ten moments of 2016. By looking at my layouts, you have probably noticed I’m not a multi-photo scrapbooker. One or two pictures at the most, unless it is a series of pictures, is way enough forΒ  me. To be honest, I struggled a little bit with this one, but I love a good challenge and am very happy with the result.

The past year was a very good year, both personally and professionally. We had our rough times, like anybody else, but I feel blessed for everything life has brought us.

Here is the layout:

egudor_january17_yearbook

I used a cut file I have had in my stash for a long time and thought it was perfect to document all the sweet moments we experienced. Film strips are a lot of fun to use. They remind me of the good old times. They remind me of my childhood. Such a nostalgic feeling! I used the Simple Stories Happy Together patterned paper to cut the circle and the Crate Paper My Love one to back it.

egudor_january17_yearbook_closeup2

I also passed some thread through the holes of the circle to add more texture to the page.

The embellishments in this month’s kit are so adorable. The wooden buttons and the gold tiny hearts are just perfect. I used some of the exclusive printables to create several layers behind my flowers and give more dimension to the clusters.

egudor_january17_yearbook_closeup1

As always, black splatters and enamel dots finished the layout.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and felt inspired to use your January kit to document your top moments of 2016. I can’t say enough how beautiful these kits are. So many goodies to work with. Exclusive products, add-ons, digital elements and cut files.

Until next time. Have a great day!

Locker Room: Always

13719750_10206587473060803_1810682039379444486_o

Hello everyone! I’m back today to share a new layout featuring the gorgeous Hey, Sugar January kit. I love everything pink, so you can imagine how happy I was when I received my awesome box of goodies.

ck_januarykit

I always try to include different elements on my projects, so to achieve as much texture and dimension as possible. The idea for this layout came from one of the fun cut files available with the January kit.

ck_januarycutfile

The cut file on its own is very versatile. So manyΒ  possibilities! You can use it as it is on top of some patterned paper or vellum, you can use different patterned papers to back each section, you can even cut out the individual elements to create your own background.

egudor_januarykit_lockerroom

The first thing I did was use the Crate Paper Heart You Gold foil heart vellum to back some of the sections and the Crate Paper Lovely patterned paper to back others. I also included some stitching to add an extra element of interest.

Once my cut file was ready, I prepared the background paper that I wanted to use as my base. The packaging technique is the simplest way you can add some mixed media to your pages. I used pink and gold mist to match the colors in the kit.

Next, I worked on my layers.

egudor_januarykit_lockerroom_closeup2

I used both side of the Happy Hearts patterned paper to back my picture. The bottom layer is just some mint tissue paper I had in my stash. I think it makes the photo stand out more. The fussy cut flowers come from the Crate Paper Adore You patterned paper, while the black enamel hearts are from Bella Blvd. I love the contrast between all the pink and the black accents on the page.

egudor_januarykit_lockerroom_closeup3

The embellishments included in the kit are so cute! I also love the Fancy Pants Joy Parade Sentiments Puffy Stickers. They are perfect for any type of project.

egudor_januarykit_lockerroom_closeup1

That is it, my friends! I hope you enjoyed reading about my process and feel inspired to use the January cut file to add some fun elements to your layouts.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Cut files and watercolors

art-studio

Hello, Clique friends. I’m back today with a simple tutorial on how to use watercolors and cut files together. I’ve always loved the softness of watercolor paint. It is very versatile and you can obtain a different effect depending on how you use it. The November Swan Lake kit was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

ck-swan-lake-kit-main

I decided to use two of the exclusive November cut files:

ck-nov16-cuts-web3_2_orig

ck-nov16-cuts-web4_2_orig

For my first layout, I used watercolors to paint the cut out pieces so to match the tones in the Maggie Holmes Gather collection:

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout_closeup5

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout

I then layered smaller and bigger flowers together to give more dimension to the page. The ephemera pieces included in the November kit are just lovely! I mixed up all the flowers I could find. Some I fussy cut from the patterned papers, others come from the add-on chipboard sticker sheet. The cut files this month coordinate perfectly with them.

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout_closeup1

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout_closeup2I finished the layout with some colored twine to create a banner effect in the top left corner of the page.

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout_closeup3

I then added some of the same twine in the opposite corner to create continuity and achieve a cohesive look.

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout_closeup4

For my second layout, I used watercolors in a different way. My idea here was to create a backdrop of flowers to use for my daughter’s ballet picture.

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout2

First I used my Silhouette to create a stitching template for the vine kind-of-look. Then, I painted underneath the flowers to recreate the soft colors in the collection.

egudor_nov15_artstudiolayout2_closeup3

I kept my embellishments to a minimum as I wanted to draw attention to the background and picture.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my process. I would love for you to give these techniques a try and shows us your work in The Clique Facebook group. You can find the November Swan Lake kit and the awesome Prima Watercolor Set in the Clique store.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great day!

Layering cut files.

13738133_10206587473420812_3012027118225482067_o

Hello there, friends! I’m back today with a new project using the gorgeous Swan Lake kit. I’m totally in love with it. The colors, the ephemera pieces, the exclusives are absolutely beautiful.

ck-swan-lake-kit-main

Cut files have always been my favorite tool when it comes to creating a page. They add a lot of extra texture and dimension without being overwhelming. The Clique Kit store has many cut files you can choose from (some of them are free!). My inspiration for today’s layout came from the beautiful Dream Catcher cut file included in a previous kit, Moon Child, which is still available for purchase if you are interested.

Picture

Here is my layout:

egudor_nov7_geeklablayout

As soon as I saw this patterned paper included in the November kit, I thought it would be perfect paired with the Dream Catcher cut file. I knew I wanted to add more dimension, so I decided to outline the image in my Silhouette software by using the Offset function, and create a small border around it. I repeated this step twice, so that each extra layer would be slightly bigger than the previous one (I hope it makes sense). I cut one shape out of white cardstock, one out of vellum, which I used as a middle layer, and the other from one of the patterned papers included in the kit. By simply layering cut files you can add a lot of texture and more interest to your page.

egudor_nov7_geeklablayout_closeup1

To add an extra element of interest, I also stitched the top portion of the cut file.

How adorable are these mini tassels from the Gather collection!!!!

Project Life – My process.

yearbook

Hello Clique friends! Enza here with you today with a Project Life spread created with the gorgeous Swan Lake kit. The exclusive cards contained in the November kit are so beautiful and inspiring! They made it easy to put this spread together.

ck-swan-lake-kit-main

My approach to Project Life has changed over the years. I have tried to do it weekly, but that did not last very long. Although I would love to document our family’s adventures on a daily basis, I also find it very time consuming. Especially because I enjoy the embellishment process too much πŸ˜‰
I have tried themed spreads, such as birthdays, holidays, specific events, which definitely helped in terms of time, but also did not say enough about our stories. The best way for me to keep up with Project Life and still have fun with it is by doing it monthly.

Here is the spread I’m sharing today:

egudor_oct29_yearbooklayout

I know, I know, I’m a little behind, but this spread came together so quickly, I’m confident I’ll be able to finish my 2016 album in a timely matter. At least, that’s my hope πŸ˜‰

The Swan Lake kit this month includes exclusive Project Life cards that match perfectly all the other colors in the kit. I love the soft pinks and pretty aquas, but also the bold blue of the 3×4 card below and the Jillibean Soup tag included in the kit. They add more interest and a different texture to the page.

egudor_oct29_yearbooklayout_closeup1

There is so much to choose from. How fun are these Dear Lizzy chipboard letter stickers and the little frames from the Maggie Holmes “Moments” paper?

egudor_oct29_yearbooklayout_closeup2

Not to mention the gorgeous floral and ephemera pieces.

egudor_oct29_yearbooklayout_closeup3

I enjoyed creating this spread. You can head over to the Clique shop to subscribe and get this awesome kit and all the other goodies in the store.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

Plan with me.

clique-agenda

Hello, scrappy friends! Enza here with you to share my very first post as a member of the new Clique Kits Design Team. Saying that I’m excited is an understatement! The kits are gorgeous and fun to work with. They are very versatile and can be used for any projects.

The November 2016 Swan Lake Kit, featuring the new Maggie Holmes Gather collection, is just fabulous. I’m in love with it! So soft and pretty.

ck_nov16-kit6

Today I’ll show you how I planned my upcoming week. Sundays are the best days for me to sit down and combine my family’s schedules. From sport activities to dance, school functions and church, there is no way I could live without a planner! Not to talk about family gatherings, especially at this time of the year! I also like to have everything in one place, as opposed to have several planners for different activities. It makes it easier for me to prepare for the week ahead.

Here is the full spread:

egudor_october23_cliqueagenda

As you can see, I also like to make it pretty. The November kit features beautiful florals and soft colors. I mixed it up with some planner stickers from the Pink Fresh Studio Indigo Hills collection that you can find in The Clique store, and some exclusives that come in the kit.

egudor_october23_cliqueagenda_closeup2

The tiny tassels are so adorable!

egudor_october23_cliqueagenda_closeup3

I also incorporated some of the exclusive printables that are included in the kit. They coordinate perfectly with the collection.

egudor_october23_cliqueagenda_closeup4

That is all, friends. I hope you enjoyed my process and felt inspired to use your November kit to decorate your planner. The Clique store also has a Clique Agenda kit and a Planner shop where you can find anything you need to plan your weeks. If you use my code, Enza10, you can also get 10% off your total purchase πŸ˜‰
