Field Notes – Snapchat Fun

Hey everyone!  Erica here with you today to bring you another spread in my June Travelers Notebook!  Today I am using up some of my March 2017 Clique Kit that featured the Shimelle Little by Little collection!  You can grab this kit in the shop HERE!  Remember you can use the code SHOP to get 30% off your total purchase!

I started out by trimming one of the papers in the kit!  It has tiny black hearts all over and I just love it to pieces!

I only ended up using one piece of paper and leaving the left side white and adding a boarder strip from the 6×12 sticker sheet.

The sticker sheet is no longer available in the shop but you can pick up these super cute enamel shapes and we also have the Shimelle wood buttons that are perfect for all projects!

The two photos I am using both have Snapchat filters on them and my youngest boy just loves to play around with these filters!  He loves the ones that have voice changers!

I added a just a couple layers behind my photos and then glued them down to my notebook and began some simple embellishing!  I just love how quick and easy it is to document using the Travelers Notebook!  Plus it is a good way to use up left over pieces from your kits!

I used a couple stickers from this Shimelle sticker book to add to my spread!  I love these little sticker books!  They are such a great value!  So many fun stickers and 2 alpha sticker sheets!

For the left side I decided to add my jounaling using my WRMK Typeset Typewriter!  I typed it out on some vellum instead of white paper!  I saw Audrey do this in on of our process videos and I really love how it looks on vellum!  You can check out her video HERE!

Once I had my journaling typed out I cut them into strips and ran them through my Xyron sticker maker!  One of my favorite things on my desk!  I added them to my notebook on the left hand side of my spread and added a typewriter sticker from the sticker book!

Here is a look at my completed spread using the March 2017 Clique Kit!  I love how simple and sweet it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  Don’t forget we still have our 30% off sale going on right now!  Perfect time to stock up on some goodies!  We also have a Sale section in the shop that is already marked done so double savings if you use the coupon code!  Have a great rest of your day!

Blog Image_Yearbook

Hello Everyone! Sandy here with you today to share my new way of documenting our everyday life!  In the past I have done Project Life pages but this year I decided to give the travelers notebook a try and I am really love it.  Today I want to share a couple pages with you using my notebook and the March Clique Kit that features the Goldie collection!  This kit is amazing and if you are wanting to get your hands on one check it out HERE!  One of my favorite things in this kit is the exclusive ephemera designed by CK Graphic Designer Inna Moreva!  These ephemera packs can be picked up in the shop as well and you are going to love all the super cute designs in this pack!   I used my Instax printer to print the photos off my phone and this makes it super easy and quick to get these moments documented in my notebook!  This printer is light and portable and perfect for on the go!

So this is the first week in March and it was Dr. Seuss week!  They had crazy hat day and crazy sock day so these were everyday moments I wanted to document.

Gabby also lost her first tooth and drew a picture of Dr. Seuss that I kept and cut it down to fit in my notebook.   I love to add little items like this to my notebooks to always remember these moments!  You can find little doodles like this from your children and adding them to your pages just makes it that more special.

I backed  the photos with different papers from the March kit!  I love all the black and white and punches of color in this kit!  The super cute french fries are a March add on and are super cute!  There are 6 per package and are the perfect little embellishment to document the photo of the girls at Moe’s!

I also like to add the age next to their drawings!  Have you ever gone through books and asked when was this from!  This way it is documented and when the girls look back at these they will know how old they were at that time!

I also added a few wood veneers from the Pinkfresh Studio Felicity collection available now in the Clique Kit Shop!  Remember you can use my code SANDY10 to get 10% off your purchase of store product!  Here is a look at my completed notebook cover!

Yearbook: Pocketpages for Event Scrapbooking

blog-image_yearbook

Hello it’s Melissa here with my first post as a Varsity Team member!  I’m so excited to share some inspiration with you today and I have to admit that I fell in love as soon as I saw the gorgeous November Tapestry kit!

I have a little secret to share with you today!  I’ve tried Project Life twice, done it for 6 months both times, and then stopped!  The first time I did it on a weekly basis, and the second time on a monthly basis.  I still pull out these albums and look at them, and I love the elements of our everyday life that I captured and recorded.  So although Project Life is not be for me right now, I absolutely love creating pocket pages, especially when I have extra photos of a special day, event or holiday (and I don’t want to make a mini album).  I also love the variation that different types of page protectors provide in my albums.

When my kit arrived I immediately pulled out some older 2012 Instagram photos I’d recently printed of our annual Autumn Festival.   Its an even we attend every year, and in 2012 both of my kids were in the festival parade.  The We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection has the most beautiful rich colours, and the kit was perfect for the photos.  Here is a look at my spread:

Whenever I’m making pocket pages I love to take my favourite techniques from traditional scrabooking and apply them at a smaller scale.  So for this spread I’ve included gold colour shine splatters, layering and machine stitching. And of course I always have to journal!  I made my title card with a fussy cut flower, bow, letter stickers, Dear Lizzy Thickers and some gold splatters.  Machine stitching finished it off.

This card features a photo of my kids dressed for the festival parade (and yes my son is not happy with the “ever-present always taking photos for the scrapbooks” Mum!!).  The tag was perfect for my journalling, and I stapled on a small heart embellishment for some interest.  The twine from the kit and machine stitching were the final touch.

We don’t have foxes in New Zealand, but he was so super cute I had to include him!  I made this journalling card from a piece of the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane 6×6 paper pad (a kit add-on in the store), and the fox and “documented” tag were perfect to tell the story of the festival float parade.

This close up shows how I layered an exclusive printable tag with a sticker and a heart.  And how gorgeous is that red text paper!

My final close up is my favourite card of them all!  I started with the exclusive “I adore you” card and paired it with my favourite photo of my daughter.  I layered my embellishments and added texture with staples and machine stitching.  Running the embellishments off the edge is a technique I love too!  Some gold colour shine finished it off!

Thanks so much for looking!  I hope I’ve inspired you to mix up your traditional scrapbooking with some pocket pages.

See you again later in the month 🙂
