September with llama

Hello! Here is Réka and today I’m sharing with you some weekly planner pages I created. First of all, it is unbelievable that it will be September in only five days. The summer always ends too fast and I would like if it keeps longer. For that’s why I have decided to make my planner pages of September summer mode using the cute ’Sundance’ Traveler’s Notebook Kit.

As you may know from my previous planner post I always make the inspiring monthly page in my planner. For my September’s main page I have used the very cute pink llama illustration and the September word was cut out of the stars green paper from Pretty Little Studios: Wish You Were Here 4×6 Paper Pack with my cameo. I have fussy cut the ’love is being with you anywhere’ sentiment and the leaves from the September’s printables. I really love these colors of these leaves, my favorites totally.

I have decided to try a new structure for my monthly spread. On the back side of the previous page I have put my monthly calendar edited by me to know how the days follow each other and I also decorated it with some banner on the top of the page and the cute leaves cannot be missed.

On the opposite page I can write the important event or things belonged to that day. I don’t know why but I love using the list structure much more. I have added one squared sheet to the white cardstock and I have written the numbers and days on it with my handwriting and for the Sundays I used the numeric stickers from Pretty Little Studio: Mini ABC – Adventure which come with the kit. I also decorated it with some embellishments and add one tag to the page sideway which marks the monthly page and I can go back easily to it.

I hope you have found some inspiration for your monthly planner spread.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day! Réka

Happy 2015 everyone!  I’m very excited to share a post on the CK blog today! But first, a big THANK YOU to everyone who ordered our Limited Edition Kit, We Go Together!  We have officially SOLD OUT!  If you weren’t one of the lucky ones who ordered their kit, we have hope!! We do have a very limited amount of products from the kit on sale now in the Clique Kits Store HERE!!  You can literally build your own personal kit, similar to We Go Together right now.

As I’m sure you can tell with all of our Limited Edition Clique Kits, we have been crazy busy behind the scenes preparing a fabulous 2015, for you!   We hope you can feel our excitement because we are just bursting at the seams these days!!  Whew!

Today I’m very happy to be sharing a layout based off a fun sketch I found at the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog.  Here’s the great sketch I worked from.  You can interpret this sketch in so many ways, which is way I loved it.  You can stay very true to the sketch and use smaller photos, maybe 2″x3″ or 4″x5″ or you could use 4″x6″ or even 5″x7″!

As I’m sure you can also see in this sketch, there are some ink splatters and several layers which I just love!  Here we go, my first layout on the Clique Kits blog with the fabulous Tailor Made, featuring Amy Tangerine~Stitched.  I played up those fun layers and added two different kinds of sequins.  I did a little experiment with attaching my sequins this time.  I used my Aileen’s Tacky Glue to attach the 5mm flat silver sequins and small glue dots to attach the aqua ones.  I wanted to see which one was stronger in the end when putting layout to the test in our family album. My scrapbooks are right in our living room and often grabbed of the shelves by our younger girls, ages 3 to 7.  So, we’ll see how these adhesives hold up to them turning the pages about 80 times!!

Watt’s Up?

Blog 4

Hello everyone, Marcia here today with some more cards to share with you that I created with the December kit Enchanted Meadow. This week I focused on the light bulb icons and brainstormed card sentiments. Here is what I came up with …

Watt’s Up?
Say Watt?
I Love You a Whole Watt
Be Merry, Be Bright
You’re Brilliant
You Light Up My Life
You Brighten My Day
Your Future is Bright
I Got an Idea… Let’s Be Together.

By layering the project life cards with each other, or with paper scraps I created these. This one will be great as a graduation card …

This one will be perfect to send to one of my kids in college with a care package.

One for my hubby…Using the clip at the top of the card,  I can attach movie tickets or a gift card to a favorite restaurant inside so we can have a date night!

I saved my favorite for last, which would be perfect for any of the guys in my life…

And I still have more light bulbs in my kit to play with! That washi tape I used on my cards is available in the Clique Store by the way.

Share your light bulb sentiments because I would love to hear them.

Sparkle and Shine – Using the stamp set

Hello Clique Kits friends! It’s Marcia here today. I have some cards to share that I created with the Sweet Stamp Shop Sparkle and Shine stamp set that was included in the kit. Since this kit is full of diamond stamps, diamond paper, acrylic diamonds, and even a clique kit exclusive diamond digital cut file, I wanted to brainstorm card ideas (other than wedding which was the first thing that popped into my head). Here are some sentiments I came up with …

“You’re a Gem”

“Congrats on the Shiny New Bling”

“I Think You’re Brilliant”

“You Sparkle & Shine”

“You Rock”

“Rock On”

and my cards using some of these sentiments and the stamps…

On this card I printed the sentiment using my computer and  Microsoft Word software. The font is Lavanderia (one of my favorites) which you can download for free. You can find it here … is another great source for fonts and explains how to install your new font for different operating systems.

and one more…

Can you think of other diamond sentiments? I would love to hear them!

Team Dave

Hello Clique Kits friends! It’s Marcia here today. I wanted to give you some insight into what inspired me for my latest layout. It was this 4×6 journal card from the Echo Park Creative Agenda collection. It reminded me of the musical Rent and that made me think of my brother-in-law Dave who is battling cancer. When you are in a battle for your life, you realize just how precious time is as well as those people we love to spend that time with.

Last Spring, my daughter and I participated in the Minneapolis Bladder Cancer Walk with Dave and lots of friends and family. So I dug out the few pictures I had from the event. Then I looked for a sketch that would work with my photos and journal cards. I found this one at Stuck?! Sketches.

I don’t always use a sketch, but find they are helpful when you need inspiration. Working with multiple photos in a grid design is not typical for me. Every once in a while its good to try something different though. My next step is deciding on what papers and embellishments to use.

But I wanted the emphasis still to be that journal card, so I used my Silhouette to cut the words out of my background paper. It makes a bold statement. Here is my finished layout…

Enchanted Meadow December Clique Kit.

The Good Morning sun was fussy cut from another journal card. Don’t be afraid to cut into your journal cards like this. One of the add-ons for the kit were these fabulous paper clips from Freckled Fawn and I cannot get enough of them.

I spritzed some Heidi Swapp color shine in tinsel on my camera ephemera and layered some chipboard stickers on top. Using foam adhesive adds dimension, making the layers pop.

I used my computer to add my journaling as I don’t especially like my own handwriting.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you today.
