August Clique Kits Pep Rally

 

 

Welcome! Please join us today for the August Instagram share. We hope to inspired you with a variety of projects using the August Malibu kit. Here’s how this works; it’s very simple.

Subscribers are eligible to earn free product credits for participating in the Pep Rally via Instagram. Participation is a very relaxed commitment on a month by month basis. Simply email marketing@cliquekits.com by the 15th of the month to have your credits recorded. Subscribers may earn 5 credits (1 credit=$1) for each month they participate. If you end up not participating- we lash you with wet noodles. (Kidding.) We simply skip over your points that month. Credits are cumulative as long as you are still a subscriber! Sound good so far?

What do you do once you sign up? This is really straightforward too. We hope this step by step instruction covers what you do, who is eligible to win a prize, and what the prizes are.

Step 1: Take pictures of projects you created using the monthly kit (please use a minimum of 80% kit and add on products so that the inspiration provided for the Clique is kit-focused.) You can do this anytime during the month- but be sure your photos post before 10 am CST on Pep Rally Day.

Step 2: On or before Pep Rally day, join the event on Facebook and Instagram by sharing on Facebook with your friends and tagging them on Instagram letting them know that each name tagged is entered to win a gift certificate to spend in the CK shop!

Step 3: Use the Instagram search tool with the keywords specified in the Hashtags and enjoy the eye candy! Leave some love for all your friends!

Step 4: Tune in to Clique Kits for announcements of the monthly Pep Rally participant winner selected to win an additional $10 product credit to spend in the Clique Kits store!

Field Notes-You Do You

Hello again friends!  Candace with you today to share a travelers notebook spread using the breathtaking February kit.  In case you haven’t seen the kit yet here is a peek at all the goodies in the kit.  You can check out the kit and the extras in the shop here.

For my spread I knew I wanted to use the “you do you” acrylic piece as the focal point and theme to drive my spread.  With all the light and whimsical colors in the kit I knew that creating a spread doing a little personal reflection would be perfect.

For the right side of my spread I paired the acrylic piece with a photo of me from January.  To add a little more color to the acrylic piece I backed it with a few different papers from the kit.  I simply glued down the acrylic to the paper then used sharp, fine tip scissors to cut around the acrylic.

For the left side of the spread I needed to create a home for my journaling.  To create the pocket for my tags I stitched down an embossed piece of vellum on three sides.  I tucked a few tags from the kit along with a few tags I created from coordinating patterned paper.

To add a little light embellishment I added a flower from the die cut pack and a little gold tab on the edge of the journaling pocket.

I love the final spread!  I think it is so important to take the time to include yourself in your scrapbooking.  Years from now I know I will love reading about my thoughts and feelings at this point in my life.

Geek Lab: Kesi Art Dies

Hey everyone!  Erica here with you today sharing a layout made with the September 2016 kit Moon Child!

This kit is so full of beautiful products from Kesi Art, Fancy Pants Designs, Dear Lizzy Pretty Little Studio, Color Cast Designs and of coarse Clique Kit exclusives!  Today I wanted to use one of the exclusive pieces in the kit that was designed by our Creative Director Gia Lau!  Gia is usually behind the scenes and even if you do not see much of her she is always busy working, designing and brainstorming!  You may not know this but Gia has designed a great amount of CK exclusives!  Gia brings her sketches and vision to our graphic designers and they get them ready for the kit!  This month she designed the exclusive 8×8 vellum paper included in the kit!  I used this vellum along with one of the September Kit add ons from Kesi Art!

I pulled out my big shot and used these Kesi Art dies to cut out the CK exclusive vellum and I just love how it turned out!

Once I had enough pieces cut out I pullled out a white piece of cardstock and began cutting into the beautiful papers in the kit!

I glued the papers down and ruffled up the edges a bit before I started to glue down the vellum flowers!  I then pulled out my photo and a few other things from the September kit to add a few finishing touches to my layout!

The photo I am scrapbooking is of our son Grant and our Pitbull Lola on a walk.  I just love this photo and love these two so very much!  Even if this is a “boy” photo I just love the texture the vellum flowers bring to the layout and I love the final layout!  Who says you cant use flowers with a masculine photo!

I backed my with a few layers including a paper from the kit, some white cardstock and a vellum bag from the kit!  I added a few embellishments on the vellum flowers using the Pretty Little Studio stickers that are in the kit and also some die cut butterflies!  I also pulled out the beautiful acrylic piece from Color Cast Designs that is also in the September kit!

Here is a look at my final layout and I just love how it turned out!
