Clique Into the Holidays December Album

Hey everyone! Stephanie Gold here and I am explodinggggggg with holiday fun over here!!!! I have been playing with my Clique Into the Holidays Kit and even started to put together some base pages for my annual December album.

Now this year… I’m switching it up. I have been having so much fun with my Traveler’s Notebook that I got a new one and I’m dedicating it to December 2016… and today you are going to get a few sneak peeks of my album as I get everything set up and prepared for the Holiday craziness and memory keeping!

2016-dd-inside-covercover

This is the inside cover page of my album. The elements are all included in your kit except for the gold chipboard stickers which are the from a Snow & Cocoa Chipboard Add-On in the shop! Click HERE to see all of the Add-Ons available for this kit! I think I will still add the year and maybe a little something else… we will see how things change as December gets started. 🙂

2016-dd-page-1

Here is my first page. I am keeping things relatively simple for now because I mainly let my photos and memories guide me as I start documenting in December. This is a great way to get your creativity flowing and have a place to start when all the stress and busyness gets going. 🙂

2016-dd-page-2

Page 2! Again, just a simple backdrop showing how my page will be laid out. (How adorable are those trees?!?!?!?!!)

2016-dd-page-3

And Page 3! Each page is different so far, but as you will see in the next few that I share, trends begin to form and it all gets coordinated and pulled together. 🙂

Have you begun crafting your base pages yet? What kind of album are you using this year?? Keep an eye out for more of my album planning soon and let me know if you have any questions. Much love friends!

Xo, Stephanie

Valentine Sneak

I know I haven’t talked much so far about the December kit, which should begin shipping between December 3-5th. GIRL CAVE is our vision of a kit that is inspired by our space, the room of our own, the place we create, or work, or organize, dream, play, think, plan, scheme, and just be ourselves. Whether you work outside the home and are the boss in the corner office, or you have the super craft room over the garage, or just the desk in the corner of the living room, it doesn’t matter- because YOU make it special. We experience our girl cave with all of our senses, and all of our mind, body, and soul, and it is really within us. With all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we know that you will be constantly on the go for others. I hope you like creating with your December kit, and that you get to take time for yourself this month, because you truly deserve it.

And now, without further ado, I have the first spread of my December daily to show you! I am using Simple Stories Snap album pages and making simple daily and/or weekly spreads, depending on how time allows. My first spread is of our first December activity- the making of our family Christmas Card. As the kids get older, we seem to get goofier and goofier.

Yearbook: Double Pocket Page Layout

blog-image_yearbook

Hello Clique Friends!! Leigh here, to share a Pocket Page Layout from my main album! Love these exclusive cards from the Clique Into December Kit!!  All the cards below, except the white 3×4 cards, are from this kit!

Lodynski_Dec2015_ProjectLife

These cards were so easy to work with! They coordinate perfectly with the Pinkfresh Studio embellishments from this kit. So I just added my photos and printed some journaling on the title card for a super quick layout!

LOdynski_Dec15_ProjectLifeSneak2

I have a little video tutorial for you, showing you how to create the pocket page window card above. I got the idea because I wanted to highlight the acrylic embellishments in this kit.

LOdynski_Dec15_ProjectLifeSneakFor this quick pocket card, you can add a die cut and stitch on one of the die cut phrases included in the Pinkfresh Studio Card Stock Die Cut pack.

Super clean and simple!

Watch the short, three minute tutorial in the above You-tube video!

Thank you for joining us today!

Clique Kits November Kickoff

Prom Committee

IMG_1182

IMG_1184 IMG_1183

Happy November everyone! It’s Gia here ready to kick off a new month in the Clique! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween- if you celebrate those festivities where you live like we do here in the U.S.A. If you celebrate Dia de los Muertos, have a peaceful day of remembrance! I decided to create a layout to get everyone in the mood to switch gears from Halloween to Turkey Day! Are you all ready? Those of you beyond the U.S borders-even better-because you know what’s next…the December Holidays!

This month’s kit, Tapestry is a beautiful kit featuring the We Are Memory Keepers Wildflower Collection. I fell in love with the collection not only for the rich colors, especially those blues, but also because of the artistry behind the paper patterns. First, they are all hand painted and scanned, rather than designed digitally, which is special in and of itself. Second, several of the patterns have a textile batik and tye-dye look to them-so textural and adding so much interest to use in our papercrafting! Add to that the botanical motifs-floral patterns and butterflies, plus all of the handwriting and brush script -it really is to die for. You are going to be overwhelmed with inspiration on this blog from our amazing 2015-2016 Varsity Design Team. I know I am!

Now I have a really exciting announcement to share with you all ! And this is just a sneak to give you an idea of what is to come in the new year.

Clique Chapters

You all know that Clique Kits is more than a store, more than a kit club, we are a global community. We have almost half of our design team members from around the world, and we welcome subscribers from anywhere we are able to ship to. We cherish the international members of our community! We feel everyone is important, and valued, and it really grieves us to see how much people have to pay, how long they have to wait, and sometimes the feeling of being left out from opportunities because of where they live. So, as always, the leadership team is always brainstorming ways to improve and ways to be more inclusive and to provide more value for our subscribers. We are planning to introduce a NEW concept for the coming year! CLIQUE CHAPTERS! Here are some of the ideas behind this new idea!

  • Existing and new subscribers will not only be part of the worldwide Clique, they will also be assigned to a local “Chapter” depending on where they live: US Pacific, US Heartland, Eastern US, Canada, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia, Down Under, Middle East, and South America. If we need additional chapters, we will add them, but these are the ones we know of right now!
  • Chapters will have their own exclusive regional designed products and digital downloads available to them.
  • Chapters will be featured on the blog on a rotation so members will have a chance to spotlight their work and also share more about their geographic location with the Clique. We want to know everything about your region-from the food, language, culture, landscape, and more!
  • Do you live in a city with 2 or more Clique subscribers? Do you want to save on shipping? With Clique Chapters, members living near enough will have an opportunity to sign up for Chapter shipping discounts.
  • Moving forward, we hope to be able to hold local events for our chapters led by local members and Design Team members such as workshops, crops, and pop up shops reaching out to our members where they live. We also hope to tailor your buying experiences based on your regional needs. If there are crafting items not available or prohibitively expensive where you live, and the Clique is able to provide them to your local Chapter by pre-order, we would like to be able to fill in those gaps for you, by adding to your box!
  • Chapters will have the opportunity to vote on their own fun Chapter names and start their own social media groups and chat rooms, exchanging contact information etc in order to bring each other even closer together as a community!

We hope you will be as excited about this new concept as we are!

Don’t forget that our annual Limited Edition holiday kits are available in the store at pre-order pricing right now-get yours now while supplies last because when they are gone they are gone!

Yearbook – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade

yearbook2

Hi everyone, it’s Danielle here with you today! I’m sharing a Christmas mini album that I’ve made with the Clique into the Holidays kit and I will show you how you can easily create one like this yourself.

A couple years ago I spent Christmas and New Years Eve at Disney World in Orlando. I’m not really a Christmas kinda girl (that’s why I like to escape to the other side of the world 😉 ), but I really enjoy all the celebrations happening at the parks. One of my favorites was Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade in Magic Kingdom and that parade deserved a little mini album of it’s own.

I started with cutting some thin chipboard in pieces of 6×4.5 inch to use as the pages of my mini. I painted only the edges, as the rest would be covered with paper.

ChristmasMiniAlbum, @Danielle de Konink, @Cliquekits, #cliquekits #scrapbooking #DIY #cliqueintotheholidays

When the paint was dry, I covered the chipboard with patterned papers from the Holiday kit and punched holes in each page for the binder rings. Keep in mind to place the paper on one side upside down opposed to the other side, as this book will be bind on top.

ChristmasMiniAlbum, @Danielle de Konink, @Cliquekits, #cliquekits #scrapbooking #DIY #cliqueintotheholidays

Now you can start making your pages. The Kaisercraft cards are a perfect size to use behind your pictures. When you’re afraid to get out of ideas, try to come up with some sort of repeating pattern. Like what I did with the gold washi tape and the cards.

Clique Into the Holidays – DIY Polaroid Album

Heyyie! Good day to all! Cassandra here and I am so excited to share my DIY Polaroid album using supplies from the Clique into the Holidays kit!CassandraChen_Cliqueintotheholidays

Here are the supplies needed (the supplies are all taken from the Clique Into the Holidays kit):CassandraChen_Cliqueintotheholidays

Here’s the step by step instructions:CassandraChen_Cliqueintotheholidays

1. Choose the pattern paper you like as the front cover and measure your cardboard to the dimension as shown.

2. Fold the pattern paper towards the cardboard as shown.

3. Glue them together. (It’s fine that it looks quite ugly at the sides because it will eventually be covered by your accordion album.

4. Fold it inwards so that it looks like a book.

5. Then with a 12×4″ cardstock, leave 3×4″ on each end and fold it into an accordion style 0.5″ thick (The image shown is just for illustration and not the actual accordion used in the album).

6. Choose a variety of 3×4″ cards and glue on one side of the accordian.

7&8. Then glue around the back as shown so that we can create a pocket and slip in the Polaroid photos later.

CassandraChen_CliqueintotheholidaysHope you find this tutorial useful to create your very own 3×4″ Polaroid album!:D

Thanks so much for dropping by! Till my next update, take care and God Bless!:D

Fancy Holiday Cards

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. Are you getting ready for the holidays? I’m almost ready. I think. But in the meantime, I’ve been playing with my Clique Kits Cards Holiday Kit. This kit is full of awesome stuff! Ah, I feel so happy sitting here with my box of pretties. I am really loving the vellum paper by Pretty Little Studios and the cute tags by Fancy Pants. The two together make one fabulous looking card. What do you think?

@nmartel #cliquekits #ckdesignteam #cardmaking #fancypantsdesign #prettylittlestudio #kaisercraft

Clique Kits really has an eye for combining gorgeous products to make a gorgeous kit. I am constantly amazed with their kits and you really can’t beat the price! I am really loving the holiday stamps by Kaisercraft too. They added just the right touch to my cards. I can really go on and on about this lovely kit, but I’ll stop right here. 🙂

Clique Cards : Oh Deer

Hi everyone! Stephanie here, popping in today to share some holiday card-making inspiration. By now, I’m sure you’ve all seen the fantastic, limited edition Clique Cards kit. There are still a couple left in stock so if you haven’t got your hands on one yet definitely head on over to the shop and add one to your cart.

There’s so much to love about these kits. Not only are they jam packed with product from the Fancy Pants Oh Deer collection but the colors are a perfect blend of traditional (red, green and gold) and contemporary (blue, grey and brown). Oh, and did I mention that there’s also a super adorable fawn die cut from Pretty Little Studio? ‘Cause there totally is. In fact, I was so enamoured with this little guy that I made him the focal point of my first card …

clique_card_1

Here’s a close-up shot …

clique_card_2

Isn’t it adorable?! As you can see from my example, the fawn die cut fits perfectly on the gift tags included in the kit and makes a sweet addition to cards and layouts. If you’re feeling extra Christmasy, you could even turn him into a little Rudolph by adding a red enamel dot or rhinestone to the tip of his nose.

For more Clique Cards inspiration, be sure to check out these recent posts from my fellow varsity team members – Nicole, Tyra and Mariah. We’ll be bringing you card-making ideas all month long!

Clique Into the Holidays: December Daily Cover

Blog Image_Prom CommitteeHey, everyone!  Kat here today to provide a little inspiration using the Clique Into the Holidays kit.  One of my favorite projects every year is December Daily.  I start getting really excited about it in October and begin gathering all my supplies.  In November I usually create my cover and a lot of my foundation pages so that when December rolls around it’s pretty easy for me to keep up with the project.  Because I am so excited about the project, I have already created my cover for this year’s album.

I bounced around a lot on choosing an album for this year and finally settled on a Simple Stories Snap! album.  I also stocked up on Simple Stories pocket pages from the CK store.  (In fact, I have so many different variations of pocket pages, I could probably make 10 albums and not run out…oops!).

To begin my cover, I used a Heidi Swapp mask and white mist to give my cover a polka dot pattern.  While that was drying I heat embossed some of the awesome Elle’s Studio wood veneers from the kit.  Then I was able to go back to my dry cover and heat emboss with the Elle’s Studio stamp add-on.

P1040865

Then I glued everything down and added one of the gold Pinkfresh Studios scalloped borders (one of my faves!).

P1040870

Finally, I put the finishing touches on my album by adding the gold Pinkfresh Studios glitter tape and the green chevron washi tape from the CK store.

P1040872

And here is the final result.

december daily 143

And now I can’t wait to start filling this album with December memories!!
