Simply Amazing | Stephanie

Hey everyone! I know Yearbook usually revolves a bit around pocket scrapbooking, but instead I want to show you a way that you can use your pocket scrapbooking journal cards to create a standard 12 x 12 layout… with a little twist. 🙂

2016-10-3-2

For the base layout of my page I cut this gorgeous laser cut Amy Tangerine paper for the bottom, and a piece of pink floral paper from the Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills collection for the top. The pocket cards were cut out from a page of the Simple Stories Posh collection.

2016-10-3-3

I really wanted to keep this layout super simple and highlight the insanely beautiful die cuts in the bottom paper so I decided to make my journaling hidden. I used the wood veneer clips to create tabs for my two end journal cards to fold, exposing my writing.

2016-10-3-4

2016-10-3-5

2016-10-3-6

Fun right?! I decorated the backs of each card as well so there was never a moment not showing off the beauty in this awesome kit. This picture of my daughter was taken at a Tea Room during one of our special “Girl Days.” It was a very feminine day and I think it deserved a very feminine layout. 🙂 She was happy with how it turned out haha!

So how do you all use your pocket cards other than pocket journaling? Do you throw them on more traditional layouts? Use them on cards? I’d love to hear your ideas and don’t forget to check the kit out in it’s entirety HERE if you aren’t signed up already! 🙂

Much love CK friends! Until next time!

Xo, Stephanie

Field Notes-Love This Life

13620781_10206587473740820_8517805441817073738_n.jpg

Hello Clique!  Candace here with you to share a new series on the blog called “Field Notes”.  For today’s installment of Field Notes I created a small spread in my travelers notebook using the October kit Sapphire.  Here is a look at the beautiful kit that you can still pick up in the shop here.

14344700_559897017528471_7136619251510360563_n

For today’s spread I wanted to keep it light and soft to match the feeling of the photo.  On the left side of the spread I cut up the 12×12 die cut sheet from Amy Tangerine that come in the kit.  I adhered the die cut down and then trimmed off the edges.

cliquetn1.jpg

For the right side I adhered down the beautiful leaf to the notebook then layered a soft doily and vellum on top.  I finished off the right side with a photo of my little guy and me.

cliquetn2

I stuck my journaling between the layers of the photo stack to keep the layout clean and organized.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Give some of these ideas a try in your travelers notebook and tag us on Instagram so we can swoon over your creation!

Have a beautiful day!

Art Studio: LOVE

blog-image_yearbook

Hi everyone. I LOVE Amy Tangerine’s “Finder’s Keeper’s” collection. The patterns and colors are so HAPPY. I just love it. I’ve had this collection on my desk for a few weeks, waiting for the right photo to show up so I could scrap it with this gorgeous collection.

I had my sister snap this photo of the three of us on Thanksgiving. Initially, Edward was in a Minecrafts sweatshirt and pants, but mom bribed Edward with M&M’s if he’d change for the picture. She has been bribing him with M&M’s since he was old enough to eat. HAHA. How come bribes work from grandma, but not me?

If you love this collection as much as I do, feel free to visit the Clique Kit’s Shop. There are a few left for purchase. Click here. I am a sucker for die cuts and tags so naturally, I used several pieces on this layout. Once I was finished with the layout, I realized that I wanted a blue background, rather than a yellow so I changed it. Also, I wanted a different color thicker so I painted mine! I decided to keep the paint a little light so that it would show a little white for a distressed look.

Geek Lab: Today

geeklab

Hello ladies!! Elisabetta here to show you another 12×12 layout made with the October Funfetti Kit. I really wanted to focus on the printables for this layout. I’ve always loved printables because they are yours forever and you can print them over and over again!

I especially loved this month’s geometric shapes and circles and I thought about including them all in one layout!!

IMG_2835 copia

As you can see, I also cut my picture in the same geometric shape and I placed everything in a kind of diagonal way on the page.

IMG_2837

For the title, I decided to use the Amy Tangerine’s word thickers that I found in the Clique Kits Shop. I think that their neutral color looks great among all those colorful diecuts.

IMG_2839

I think that printables are also great to use when you’ve almost killed your kit and you don’t have a lot of supplies left. As you can see, I didn’t use a lot more than printables: just a piece of vellum to frame the page, some wood veneers, letter stickers and that’s it!! Very simple and fast!

elisabetta october geek lab IMG_2840 IMG_2842 IMG_2846 IMG_2843

I hope this layout inspired you to use the printables more on your pages. I also uploaded a process video on my YT channel so you can see my whole process. Have a great day scrappy friends 🙂

Geek Lab-Dust it Off

geeklab

Hey Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and I hope you had some time to check out our World Card Making Day Online Crop yesterday!  There is still time to play along and the deadline for uploading your projects is October 10th!  Today I want to share a layout with you using our October 2015 kit Funfetti!

CK_Oct15-Kit

This kit features the Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things collection and is filled with great color, patterns and fun!  Included with every Clique Kit are cut files and printables you can use over and over again!  I am so bad about getting my Cameo out but this month I decided to  dust it off and cut a bunch of Clique Kits cut files.  For my layout I used one of the October cut files and if you are a subscriber you can find these under monthly downloads.

CliqueKits_Oct15_CutFiles3 (1)

I cut the file out of white cardstock from the Clique Kits shop and wanted to cut into my pattern papers.  I applied adhesive all over the back of my file and then added strips of the beautiful papers in all the sections of the file!  I just love how it turned out and it really did not use much paper at all!!

IMG_0268

My photo is of our son Gavin Issac our little miracle baby.  His newborn photos are so dreamy and I think this one is just perfect against all the beautiful patterns.  I did not want to use very many embellishments on this layout since I did have some many patterns but I think it came out great and will be hanging this one in my office.  I love that I was able to also use products from my September kit and add ons with this months  kit!

IMG_0262 IMG_0248

If it has been awhile since you have you used your cut files I challenge you to create your next layout using some!  If you do not have a Cameo or another electronic die cutting machine you can also use your big shot to create some fun layouts!  Pull out your dies and cut them out of different pattern papers and cover your 12×12 papers with them!  You will love the result and have fun doing it!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my layout today!  Please take a moment to check out the Clique Kits shop.  We have added some new products including more of the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers collection, great Halloween products in our pop up shop and some fun Crate Paper Wonder!

Locker Room: Dream

blog-image_locker-room

Hello ladies!! Elisabetta here to show you another layout made with the lovely Funfetti Kit. how cute is the paper with the aqua and pink balloons? definetely one of my favorites from the Kit. it’s perfect for a background because it’s white (I love white spaces) but it also already has these cute balloons that work as embellishments.

IMG_2895 IMG_2896the picture I scrapped shows the henna tattoo I got this summer! I LOVED it and I’m planning on doing it again because I really like how it’s not permanent and the fact that you can change it every time.
IMG_2897

I had a lot to say about this picture so I tried to journal a little bit more than usual: the top left corner was perfect as a journaling spot.IMG_2898

IMG_2899 copia

this is the final page! I like the fact that it’s very girly and dreamy and soft. the colors are my favorite too: pink, aqua and gold! the perfect combo in my opinion 🙂

IMG_2901 IMG_2904

IMG_2905 One of the things that I love the most of the October Kit are these gold confetti. You’ll get a ton of them. they will last you for a long time!!IMG_2906I really hope you’ll feel inspired by this layout. if you wanna see the whole process, I uploaded a process video on my Youtube Channel. have a great day scrappy friends 🙂

May Pep Rally Featuring Carnival!

9457536_orig

Hi everybody. It’s Nicole here, wishing you a fabulous Wednesday! Welcome to the May Pep Rally. This month’s Pep Rally is going to be full of inspiring projects using lots of Amy Tangerine’s “Rise and Shine” collection. I love Amy’s products and have yet to be disappointed in anything that she comes out with. Seriously, she’s awesome. I love this month’s kit so much that I created 6 layouts and 3 cards with it. This month, we went with an “Anything Goes” for our monthly challenge, but next month, we’re gonna challenge you to print more than 3 photos for your layout! Shhh…

The Pep Rally, for those of you who are new to the Clique, is our monthly subscriber and design team blog share typically held the third week of the month and participants earn product credits-yes, free stuff to do what you love-who can beat that? It’s out with the old, in with the new time at Clique Kits when we (hopefully) have all killed our kit from the previous month and have lots to show off, and we start to chat and hype the excitement for the coming month’s kit. In other words, we party! We don’t leave out our guests-there is always a prize for a hopper who comments on each post and likes and shares on social media! Just leave a new comment for each like and share for a separate entry in the random drawing for this month’s prize. One lucky person will win this month’s Carnival kit that is sold out! Get the word out and have your friends join our Pep Rally because they might end up with this gorgeous kit at their doorsteps!

Feel free to hop in any order, if you get lost, you can always come back here to find your place. This month, I challenged myself to play with my stencils, mists and inks and oh, what a blast it was! I am so pleased with all of my creations this month. You’ll also notice that every one of my layouts includes journaling. In order for my layouts to feel complete, they must tell a story!

One of my favorite things about this month’s kit is the soft colors and patterns. I used every piece of paper in this kit because I just love patterns in general. Just take a look in my closet…

Embedded Mini Album

artstudioheader

Hi It’s Tyra and I’m here to share a fun way to add a layered mini album to your pocket page album.  This year I’m using a 6×8 album, but I find that I still love creating mini-albums as well.  This embedded mini album still allows  me to preserve special photos within a pocket page, while using a mini album to play with textures and layers.

CK_May15_Babington_MiniAlbum4

Project Steps (for use in a 6×8 album):

1. Cut and trim patterned paper to the following sizes: 4×8, 4×7, 4×6, 4×5.5,4×4

2. Punch holes to match existing album.

3. Size photos and add to each page.

4. Add embellishments to your taste. Enjoy!

If you have enjoyed this month’s kit as much as I have, you might have just a few pieces of paper left to create an embedded mini of your own! I hope I have inspired you today! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
