Geek Lab: You are my favorite mix

Hello everyone! Donna here with another layout made with the awesome March Kit “Hell Yeah” featuring Goldie by 7 paper and CK exclusive papers and ephemera!

 

For my page, I used one of the cut files as word art incorporated to my photo.

First, open your editing software (I used Adobe Photoshop CS3). Then open the photo you wanted to use. Edit as usual (like converting to black and white etc like I did with my photo since the original colors will clash to my page) and resize according to your preferred photo size.

Second, copy the photo to a bigger document with a bit of allowance to the bottom. That is where you will place the word art. Open the CK exclusive cut file. Drag the file to the photo.

Third, add a bit of background color to the word art part. I chose a pale pink to complement the palette the kit. Then merge both files and save the document or print it to your preferred photo size.

I also used the gold crepe paper as lollipop flower and used the flair as accent

I added color to the background with splatters of gelatos

Art Studio: Everyday

Hi everyone. 🙂 Elisabetta here to show you another layout with a very sweet photo of my boxer dog Wampy! ❤

Since today’s category is “Art Studio”, I’ve decided to play a little bit with Gelatos. I have a lot of colors but I never use them because I’m not a big fan of mixed media and I don’t like to wait for things to dry, but today I decided to challenge myself and be a little more artsy. 🙂

I pulled out three colors but then I decided to go with the pink one and I added some color on the background using the packaging technique! It was easy and it dried immediately. 😉

This layout was all about circles! I cut my picture and some papers with the Big Shot and then I tried to use circular embellishmets like flairs. 🙂

I really like this design. It’s easy and quick, but it’s also very pretty in my opinion!

Yearbook: 2015

Hi guys! 🙂 Elisabetta here to show you another layout made with the amazing March Kit. I took some pictures during New Year’s Eve and I think that those will be the last ones for my 2015 album so I wanted to create a page to say goodbye to 2015!

I cut the numbers off my page using my scissors (if you have a Silhouette this would be easier :P) and then I backed them with some patterned papers that I liked. Then I decided to use the picture instead of the 0. I like how it turned out and it was very easy to make. 🙂

“Fine” in italian means “the end”. As I told you, I wanted to focus on the fact that it was the last day of 2015 and that we were celebrating a new beginning.

I also used these wood veneers that I found on the CK shop some months ago: I decided to use happy faces but also sad faces because 2015 hasn’t always been good. 🙂

I love this picture that me and my friends took. We were on the floor taking silly selfies and even if the colors and quality aren’t that great, it’s still perfect to document that moment! 🙂

Locker Room: When you need more photos to scrap!

Hi guys! Elisabetta here to show you 2 pages today! I had a few pictures from a weekend that I wanted to include on a pocket page, but then I didn’t know what to put on the back, so I decided to print some random photos of things that I’m liking at the moment. 🙂

I found pictures online of books that I read recently, of TV series that I’m loving and I also took screenshots of the music that I’m listening to! I think that it’s important to document the little things too. 🙂

Gotta love that Leonardo DiCaprio! How can you not? And now I would like to thank the Clique for bringing us so much amazing and incredible inspiration every day on social media! You guys are the best! Every day I am blown away by the talent of our subscribers, and by the caring supportive attitudes I see- it makes me happy. It reminds me of the time the Clique Kits girls discussed the type of community we wanted to build to be a part of and make our scrappy home in the future. And we said, “What if instead of asking what if, we said HELL YEAH!”

Hi everyone! I could not be more excited to kick off this month because the March Kit Hell Yeah really, truly, no-for-real is my all time favorite Clique Kit ever made so far! I know, I know…you say that every month, right? But, this month really is special. Inna Moreva, one of Clique Kits graphic designers in collaboration with the rest of the Clique Kits girls exceeded all expectations designing our first ever Clique Kits exclusive 12 x 12 papers and die cut ephemera packs, in addition to the usual cards and flair. With motifs like happy macaroons and french fries, Eiffel towers, abstract painterly patterns, and fresh, funky colors for Spring- this kit is so much fun to play with. Of course Ashley Goldberg’s Goldie collection from 7 Paper forms the backbone of the paper collection and we are just so excited to see what our subscribers are going to create with the March Kit all month long.
