Grids: Making Life Simple

Hi! It is Lisa L. back here again with another Guest Designer post, yay! Today I am sharing a sweet and simple layout that came together so easily because 1. I used a grid and 2. the Think Big Patterned Paper from the March Kit “Play” had the squares already made for me! Love it!

Since the patterned paper was already squared off with different critters, sentiments and journaling spots, all I had to do was cut them out and rearrange them to fit my page. I then used the bottom strip where the bar code can be found and turned it over so that the purple side was showing, adhering it down the left side. I then kept the right side of my layout open so I could layer some card stocks behind my photo and added the floral image and bestie flair on top. I finished it off with my title being a mix of a die cut and the thickers in this kit.

Rainy Day Fun – GD Lisa Lahiff

Hi! I am so excited to be here on the Clique Kit Blog!!! My name is Lisa Lahiff and I will be guest designing for the month of March, thanks to the amazing Clique Kit Team for having me! When I opened my beautifully wrapped March Kit “Play” I squealed with delight. This kit is packed with one of my favorite new lines called Little by Little by Shimelle. When I saw the rain drop patterned paper I instantly knew what photos I had to document first…

The vellum black numbers were perfect for drawing attention to my photos, and to help them stand out more from the busy background I used a white gel pen to add dashed lines outlining each one.

The striped rainbow patterned paper created the perfect lines to help keep my thickers straight. And the clouds found in the Little by Little Die Cut Shapes package played off of my title too! With a few sequins I was able to create my own rain fun.
