LIFE IS LOVELY

study-hall

Hi there!  Danni here again today, to share one of my latest 12×12 scrapbook layouts with you.  I used mostly the February Clique Kit, Bee You.  This kit features the Hazelwood collection by One Canoe Two and turned out to be one of my favorite kits since I joined the Clique Kit Design Team!  It’s just absolutely Stunning!

I’m seriously over the moon with how this page turned out of me & my good friend, Brandi.  We went to an Amy Tan (Tangerine) class at our local scrapbook store; Paper Tales, here in San Diego.  Here’s a few close-ups of the layout:

I fell in love with the cork embellishments and the butterfly rub-ons.  I WANT MORE OF THEM…haha!! 🙂  I also used a few of the ephemera pieces and some of the chipboard from the Hazelwood collection.  The chipboard was an Add-On you could purchase in the Clique Store.  Another embellishment I quickly decided was perfect to add to my page, was the triangle enamel shapes.  I used them the same way you would typically use photo corners..I love the pop of color & dimension it gives to the layout.

Here is another close-up of my page:

To finish things off, I cut a banner from one of the cut-apart sheets, added the navy & white polka dot strip above my title (also from cut-apart) & added the word “FRIENDS” with some Maggie Holmes gold letter stickers from my stash.

Here’s my completed layout…hope you like it, half as much as I do!?

Happy Home, Happy Heart

Hi there!  Danni here again today, to share my weekly planner spread for Valentine’s week.  I used mostly the February Clique Kit, Bee You.  This kit features the Hazelwood collection by One Canoe Two and is just absolutely Stunning!  I also added in some of the January, Hey Sugar Clique Kit.

I thought I would share a picture of the beginning stages of putting my spread together.  I love to use scrapbook paper as my full squares; to give it color & make it more of a cohesive planner layout.

planner-1

I inked the edges of my squares with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke & Shaded Lilac.  This helps give it the look of dimension & shadows, without adding bulk to your planner pages.

I used a couple of planner stamps from the Sweet Stamp Shop.  I use these to keep track of my social media.  Also, I just realized I forgot to mention I use the Happy Planner, by Me & My Big Ideas.

Here are a few more close ups; one before I added in plans, and one with a few plans written in:

I love to add washi tape to my planner pages…I used a couple different ones, all by American Crafts.  You can find the heart gold foil washi (Heart Day, by Crate Paper) here in the Clique Store.  The February Clique Kit made it so easy to complete my planner spread because it was jammed packed full of beautiful papers & embellishments! 🙂

I didn’t write too much in my planner, since I am decorating it almost 2 weeks early.  I did however, make sure I left plenty of room, to add in more details as the week gets closer.

Here is look at my completed planner spread:

LOVE

yearbook

Hello there and welcome back.  Danni here today to share my most recent 12×12 layout using the exclusive Valentine Clique Kit (sorry but this kit has sold out).  I also added in some of the January, Hey Sugar Clique Kit…which happens to go perfectly with it.  Here’s a look at some of the products that came in these beautiful kits:

love-valentine-kit

I thought I would make a layout about my love for my family.  This is just one example of how you can use these kits, without it being a Valentine’s theme layout, per say.  I took these photos back in April of 2014 and had yet to scrapbook them.  Here are a few close-ups of my page:

loveclsup-1

The kit comes with a package of tiny word phrases that I’m slightly addicted to..LOL!  I just love adding tiny little details like this.  It really adds to the feeling or mood you are trying to portray.

loveclsup-2

These kits feature the Heart Day collection by Crate Paper; and the Love & Adore collection by Simple StoriesClique Kits always does such an AMAZING JOB putting together very cohesive kits, that are so gorgeous & super easy to use when creating layouts, cards, planner spreads, etc.  I simply LOVE getting the kits each month!! 🙂

Since I wanted to include 4 photos on the layout, I decided to add a hidden journaling pocket to the top right-hand side of the page.  This makes it easy for anyone to pull it out & read it, without having to remove the entire layout from the page protectors!

loveclsup-3

I cut up strips of the various pattern papers that come in the kit, to make my layers behind my 3 main photos.  Then I added some of the Heart Day ephemera & Clique Kit exclusive flair & some tangled gold metallic thread to complete the look I was going for.

Here’s a look at my completed layout…hope you like it as much as I do!?!

Wonderful Winter

study-hall

Hello & welcome back…Dani here today to share my December Daily pages 3 & 4 with you.  Today I wanted to feature the 2016 Clique Into The Holidays kit.  I literally squealed with joy when I first opened this kit!  It has got to be one of my all-time favorite kits EVER!! 🙂

letitsnow-fullkit

I cut a few tabs, labels & frames out with my Cuttlebug..yes I know its old school, but I still love using it!  Using your diecut machines & Silhouette with the coordinating papers really adds to the over-all cohesiveness of your project.

I just love all the exclusive cards that come in this kit..especially the adorable bunny rabbit with his scarf & snow cap.  Speaking of cards, I wanted to mention we have a few exclusive Holiday card kits left in the store, grab one today.

Here’s a few more close-ups of my spread using the 2016 Clique Into The Holidays kit:

To finish off my spread I decided to add a smaller pocket page in between the 2 pages.  I had these in my stash and they are designed by Simple Stories.  It was so FUN to pull out my Fuse tool & make a shaker pocket, using some of the Snow & Cocoa ephemera, wood veneers, pom poms & sequins that come in the kit.  I love how it came out & the different size pages really adds a unique touch I think, as well.

Are you doing a December Daily or special Christmas project/s this year?  We would love for you to share them with us on Facebook &/or Instagram.  We simply LOVE seeing what you do with our products & kits…your creativity always exceeds our expectations!!

If you would like to stop by my YouTube channel, I will have the process video up later today.  You can also check out Days 1 & 2 of my December Daily while you’re there. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will stop by Clique Kits & check out these amazing products & MORE!!

Lucas Jack Sparrow Sullivan

Hi there & welcome back…Dani here today.  I am thrilled to be back & wanted to share my most recent layout with you guys.  I couldn’t wait to dive into my December Clique Kit, Wonderland.  It’s full of awesomeness & I’m loving every bit of it!!

My sister recently got a beagle puppy for my nephew, Sawyer.  So I knew, I had to get this memory recorded in my scrapbooks.  I just melted when she sent me the pictures and told me what Sawyer had named him… Yep, u guessed it, Lucas Jack Sparrow Sullivan! LOL! 🙂

Here are a few close-ups of the Wonderland kit & our new furry friend:

I really liked this paper from Bella Blvd & knew I wanted to use it as my background.  I love that it has the paint splatters, white-wash (looks like Gesso) & the look of mixed media already done for you.

My next step was to use some of the exclusive cards that come in the kit, to add layers behind the photos.  I just love the pop of black in this kit..it really accentuates the photos & my title.

Here’s a few more close-ups of my layout:

To complete my page, I added a few of the black & white tabs/labels, some exclusive ephemera designed by the talented Claudia Van Rooijen, and the beautiful cork embellishments by Pink Paislee.

Make Today Amazing!

Blog Image_Locker Room

Hello & welcome back…Dani here today to share my most recent 12×12 page with you.  Today I wanted to feature the 2016 October Clique Kit using the softer colors (basically without using the blue).  This page is of me & my girl friends at a Rascal Flatts concert.  We had such a good time, I knew I had to document the event.

I wanted to try this technique I saw Missy Whidden use on one of her YouTube videos.  I didn’t have transparency sheets, so I used some acetate I bought a while back to make shaker cards…It worked PERFECTLY!! 🙂

maketodayamzingclsup1

I used Heidi Swapp‘s Color Shines, in the colors; Patina, Blush, Gold Lame & Coral.  So excited about it..its such a cool new technique that looks really awesome on scrapbook layouts & cards.  I’m just so thrilled with how it turned out!

maketodayamzingclsup2

Here’s a few more close-ups of my layout using the 2016 October Clique Kits:

maketodayamzingclsup3

I inked the edges with my gold Delicata ink from Tsukineko, of some of the exclusive 3x4s & 4x6s cards included in the kit.  I also made a hidden pocket at the top of my page to hold my journaling.

maketodayamzingclsup4

I cut a few stars out on my cuttlebug..yes I know its old school, but use the products & tools you have, no matter how new or old they may seem.  What’s that saying?  Everything that’s old is NEW again.  I truly believe in using what you have…ultimately it will make your layouts feel new & fresh all over again!!  I added some black ink splatters to finish off the layout…here’s a look at my completed layout:

Thank you so much for spending a few minutes of your day here with me…I know time is very precious, & I so appreciate it!!  I hope you will stop by Clique Kits today & check out these amazing products.

Big Hugs~Dani

Crazy Fun

Blog Image_Locker Room

Hi there & welcome back!  Dani here again today to share another 12×12 layout with you using the Sapphire,  October Clique Kit.  I really wanted to make a page using some of the positive inspirational quotes and phrases in the kit.  The cut-apart sheet from Simple Stories, Posh really caught my eye.  I immediately knew which photos I wanted to scrap of my son, Dominic. Don’t you just love when that happens!?

Here’s a few close-ups of my layout:

img_1786

crazyfunclsup2

I just fell in love with this quote and couldn’t wait to add it to my page!  I also decided to do a little bit of mixed media again, so I used my Dreamscicle Shimmerz and Melon Gelato by Faber Castell with the packaging technique.  Then I added some Heidi Swapp, Gold Lame, Color Shine splatters to complete the look I was going for.  I cut it up to use in my layers and to border the quote.  I purposely cut free hand to give it that not so perfect artsy look.

crazyfunclsup3

I love to add tangled thread in my embellishment clusters and sometimes behind the photos.  I love the texture that it gives to my pages.  I really liked the color blocking on the background paper by Simple Stories.  It really helped the design of my layout come together quickly.  To create more layers behind my photos, I used one of the awesome exclusive 4×4 cards that comes in the kit and some of the turquoise map paper from Simple Stories, Posh.

crazyfunclsup4

Of course, I had to use the beautiful flair…the saying was just too perfect for this layout!  I just really enjoyed creating this.  The embellishments are just amazing & endless in this kit.  And those leather alpha stickers by Pink Fresh Studio are to die for!  🙂

Here’s a look at my completed page.  Hope you like it as much as I do?

Celebrate Today

artstudioheader

Hi, Dani here today, to share my latest layout using the 2016 October Clique Kit.  First, can I just say how EXCITED I am to be here with you Today!!  I Still can’t believe it!? 🙂

Since I was just a tad bit nervous about my very first post with Clique Kits, I decided to use a sketch from my Pinterest, as a jumping off point.

I knew I wanted to play with some mixed media, so I pulled out my Shimmerz, Faber Castell, and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  They go so well with this kit..I think I may have squealed with joy as I was putting together this layout.  I’m absolutely in love with the patterns and colors of this kit, as you can see below in my first closeup.

celebratetodayclsup1

I mixed Spun Sugar Shimmerz with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink to get the perfect color and dimension.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil and applied it in 3 different areas.  Then I mixed Boysenberry and Blueberry Gelatos together to get the exact shade of blue I desired.  I used my water brush to paint and blend colors on the embellishment clusters.

celebratetodayclsup2

I discovered this amazing place, almost in my backyard, if I had a backyard; ha..ha..ha..  Believe it or not, it was near a shopping center.  This was an unexpected surprise and made me think about the saying “Stop and smell the roses”.   It was so peaceful that it made me reflect on all the good things in my life and Celebrate Today.

celebratetodayclsup3

I think the little details really makes the page, like adding thread, splatters of paint, and enamel dots.  I’m a little bit obsessed with adding pop dots and layers to my layouts which really gives it a 3D effect.

celebratetodayclsup4

Sometimes, no make that most times, I find it hard to scrap about myself.  So I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone with this layout of me.  Being scrapbookers we find it hard to scrap about ourselves because we’re always behind the camera, instead of in front of it.

celebratetodayfullpg

I hope I have inspired you to get creative and maybe even a little messy!!  Until tomorrow, happy scrapping!!

Hugs~Dani
