Yearbook-Summer Album Week #3

Hello friends!  I am so happy to share with you my final week in my summer mini album!  This was my first year documenting our summer trip in a mini and it was so fun!  The Clique in to Summer kit was perfect to document our vacation on the beach with the fun, fresh colors from the Simple Stories You are Here collection.

During week 3 of our trip we camped on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  The beautiful beach and waves made it easy to take beautiful photos so for week 3 I really wanted my main focus to be on the words and photos.  Here is a look at week 3…

To keep with the pattern of the rest of the album I started week 3 with a half vellum page talking about our week and added a wood veneer accent.

I adore the 12×12 pattern paper with the light gray palm trees!  This paper was the perfect place to use my typewriter to document where we went.

The cut-apart sheets that came in the kit had the perfect sentiments for a beautiful beach vacation. I used a bunch of the cute embellishments that came in the kit to create a full 6×8 embellishment page.  I love that it is see through and you can see my feet in the sand from the next page.

I used gold embossing powder along with some beautiful mint ink to decorate the “You are Here” wood veneer piece before I placed it in the 4×6 pocket.

A large 12×12 gold acetate sheet came in the kit.  I decided to cut up the sheet and place it in various pockets around the album as a fun see through embellishment.

For the last page I numbered out a bunch of fun things that happened on the trip.  For example…. 10 frogs in the shower, 9 messy sandcastles, 8 hours of rain.  This is such a fun way to document events in an interesting and fun way!  I also added a cut file embellishment that came with the kit.
