Hello CK peeps! Donna here to share my second layout using the August kit “Rio” featuring Fancy Pants Designs Millie and June collection.

This is the page I want to share with you all today.

First thing I did was to create my background. I like prepping the surface first before doing anything like using watercolor or any mixed media. I went for a mix of subtle colors, based on the kit’s color palette.

The design I had in mind is placing my elements in the middle and spreading them vertically towards the bottom of the page. Converting the photo to b/w made it stand out over the colorful elements of the page.

The swirly vines were cut using a metal die. I think it added a bit of “flair” to the over all look. I used some addons on my page like the flair and wood veneer word “together”.

I love the bows included in this kit! It’s so dainty!

Another favorite in the kit is the pack of washi tape strips ! I like that you have lots of designs in a pack.
