Love Life – Scrapbook Layout

Hey Hey Everyone!!  So excited to be sharing on the blog with you today!  Yesterday was a great day for me and my scrap desk!  I have been loving the April 2016 kit featuring Simple Stories!  At first this kit was a bit challenging for me because of the red in the kit!  Red is not a color I can use in my layouts very often!  But I am always up for a good challenge and I am loving all the projects I have been able to create with this kit!

Every month the Clique Kits also include exclusive cut files and printables!  These files can be used over and over again and really help to add a little extra to your kit!  The design team have rocked the print and cuts every month and I will leave some links below for you to check out to help give you some inspiration!   I absolutely love the cut files and guess what it is now available PRE CUT for you in the shop!  Yes you read that right!  You can now purchase pre cut files to go along with your kits!  Not everyone has an electronic cutting machine and this is a great way to get these gorgeous files every month!  You can check them out HERE in the shop!

Today I wanted to focus on the beautiful floral background cut file designed by Inna Moreva!

I cut this file with some white My Minds Eye Cardstock.  This is my favorite cardstock to use these days and it will be restocked in the shop soon!  Once I had my file cut I backed it with another piece of white card stock for a white on white look.  I wanted to create a very clean and simple layout with pops of red!  The ephemera pack included in this months kit is so jam packed with great bits to add to your layouts!  I could not help myself and I did pick up some of the April Add Ons including the wood veneer, chipboard stickers and enamel dots!

Using the cut file helped add that little extra touch it needed to keep it nice clean and simple.  I used very little pattern paper and very few embellishments and I think the layout came out great!  Sometimes less is more!  The photo I used is of my and Sandy (Oh Snap Gonzo) when she came up to visit in March!  I may have wore the red and white polka dot shirt knowing I would be scrapping these photos with my April kit but maybe not! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed my layout and that you will take some time to get the free printables printed and the cut files cut!  Trust me you will love them!  We still have some April kits available in the shop for single purchase so if you have had your eye on this kit now is the time!  While you are there check out some of the new products that have been added including my favorite Happy Art stamp set!  Thanks so much for stopping today and I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!  If you would love to see my process check out the video below!
