Hi everybody! I have a fun tutorial for you today. I am going to share how easy it is to use watercolor paints on your layouts! I love how vibrant the Prima watercolors are and as soon as I saw them at CHA, I knew I had to have them. The colors are absolutely beautiful and I am here to share with you how pretty their colors are on paper.
I decided that I wanted paint splatters for my background so I pulled out my templates, aqua brushes and watercolors. It’s best if you use watercolor paper so the paper does not warp or tear.
I simply placed the template down on my paper and painted the colors onto the template. Try to avoid moving the templates while you are coloring within the shapes so that you get the best image possible. You really do not need much color on your brush. A little goes a long way.
Once the paint was dry, I used some ink and the #lovethis stamp to stamp on the background of my paper.
A few close ups:
I love the little macaroon flair. Fun!
I hope that I was able to inspire you to try watercolors on your next project. They are super easy to use and most of all, FUN!
