Hello Fellow Clique Members! Leigh here to bring you a modern geometric layout inspired completely by the exclusive Clique Kits Printables in the October Funfetti Kits. LOVE These!
Cut desired cut files for the title from this month’s exclusives.
Print out your photos. I used Adobe Photoshop to shape mine to match the octagon printable, but don’t worry if you don’t use Photoshop, I have options below:)
Lay standard office supply acetate or transparency film under your photo and trim around it to cut the acetate and your photo all at once. You can print out the above using your preferred program, like Pages on a Mac. (without Photoshop: You can use any program that allows you to create basic shapes and print an octagon on card stock at 2 and 7/8 inches to fit inside the printable. You will have two stencils, one at 2 and 7/8 inches to lay on a photo and trim to fit inside the printable, and also the 4 inch one cut from around your printable. Then continue on with steps below.)
You have created your own stencil/template that you can see through to trim photos and paper, and is reusable as many times as needed. I label mine with washi tape.
Trace around the template on any desired paper from your kits and cut out.
These are a couple of the exclusive printables ( journal cards ) that I have altered in Photoshop, and printed out with my journaling, but totally use the transparency stencil idea to trim your cards after printing if you don’t use Photoshop!
Stitch on three of the octagons shapes with sewing machine from corner to corner.
You can see I have cut some vellum also to layer and stitch through. Use a Xyron sticker maker machine for the acetate triangles from Pinkfresh Studio from your October Kit.
Adhere any paper strips, flair, acetate triangles, and photos you choose. Love the puffy stickers in this kit, and used one here as part of the title words.
Have fun dripping and splatting some gold and black in three spots and…
you have a Finished layout!
