Using What is Left

Happy 2015! It’s Aliza here once again. The layout I have to share with you today is the 5th layout I made with this kit (I haven’t even shared them all yet), and when I sat down to make it, I realized I did not have any whole sheets of patterned paper left. I had cut into every. single. one.

So, I pulled out some white cardstock. And I simply stared layering the pieces that I had left.

I also had those lovely strips that come at the bottom of patterned paper, so I layered up a few of those, as well.

Once I had the basic layout, I could print up my journaling. Once again, I wrote about my son’s upcoming Bar Mitzvah, though this time, I focused on the stress of planning a big event. I have little doubt that the day after his Bar Mitzvah,we will be exhausted and happy and filled with many memories. But to get to that point, there are many little details and to do lists, and I do not love it. I wanted to capture both my optimism that it will all turn out fine, and the reality of right now.

Some of those lovely stickers were the perfect addition to add a little color, and to help me to say what I needed to say.
