Locker Room: Clean&Simple Layout

LockerRoomHello! Caroli here and today I want to share a simple tutorial in order to make a clean&simple layout with the focus on an embellisments block.

I love clean&simple style but also I’m a fan of embellisment clusters full of stuff, and since november kit is filled with a lot of beautiful embellishments, this was perfect for the idea I had for this layout.

I’ll start with white cardstock and will use some watercolors to create a simple and soft background, nothing hard because I want the embellies to be the focus.

Now I’ll place the picture on the right and then start placing my embellishments on the left.

As you can see, I used a lot of diecuts from Lemon Owl, wood veeners from Freckled Fawn and Pinkfresh Studio, alpha from websters Pages and gold leaves by Pretty Little Studio. All of these embellies are included on November kit!  The cute little deer from Maya Road was included on September kit, but I had to include it on this Lo, it’s so pretty ❤

Once I’m done with the embellishment block i will balance a bit by adding few layers on the opposite side.

I love to include at least a tiny journaling on all my layouts, so I used a circle journaling tag on the bottom right, and I embellished it a bit by adding a flower and some gold leaves.

The final touch is to ad a few ink splatters! No layout is done until I splatter some ink drops on it 😉

And this is the final result, a super simple layout but yet rich and full of dimension.

Hope you get inspired by the gorgeous stuff on the kit and by this tutorial, please let me know if you got to make it too 🙂 See you soon!

  5. Really pretty! Love how you layered the embellies over the watercolor then did minimal stuff on the opposite side to keep it all balanced and your photo the star!
